Seahawks' Julian Neal: Full practice Sunday
Neal (quadriceps) was a full participant in Sunday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Neal had been dealing with a quadriceps injury but should be all set to go for Wednesday's Week 1 matchup with the Patriots. The cornerback is set to be one of the primary depth options behind Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe, but Neal may be called upon to play some safety since Ty Okada's (hamstring) game-day status is in question.

Seahawks' Julian Neal: Dealing with leg injury
Neal has missed four consecutive training camp practices due to a leg injury, Gregg Bell of The News Tribune reports.
It's unclear when Neal sustained the injury, but his status is worth monitoring over the coming days. He was a third-round selection of the Seahawks in the 2026 NFL Draft, and the rookie out of Arkansas is competing for a rotational role in Seattle's secondary, though his clearest path to playing time figures to be as a contributor on special teams.

Seahawks' Julian Neal: Selected by Seahawks
The Seahawks selected Neal in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 99th overall.
Neal is a standout athlete at 6-foot-2, 203 pounds with a 4.49-second 40, 40-inch vertical and 134-inch broad jump, but it's a red flag that he played four years at Fresno State and never earned a starting role. He did start for Arkansas as a fifth-year player, but a very safe general rule is that anyone who can't start in four years isn't an NFL starter. If Neal emerges as a viable starter in Seattle, it would be very impressive on the part of coach Mike Macdonald.
