Texans' Layne Pryor: Available for training camp
Pryor (quadriceps) was on the field participating in Thursday's practice, Ashley Landis of hjnews.com reports.
Pryor missed part of the Texans' OTAs in early June due to a quadriceps injury. The tight end has since recovered from the issue and is a full participant in training camp as he attempts to move up the depth chart and survive cutdown day. The 23-year-old out of Iowa has yet to play in an NFL game.

Texans' Layne Pryor: Dealing with quad injury
Pryor didn't practice Wednesday due to a quadriceps injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The Northern Iowa product spent time with the Texans' practice squad last season and signed a reserve/future contract with the team in late January. Once fully healthy, Pryor will likely compete for a depth role in Houston's tight end room.

Texans' Layne Pryor: Signs future deal with Houston
The Texans signed Pryor to a reserve/future contract Wednesday.
Pryor signed with the Texans' practice squad in November after starting the 2025 season as a free agent. The tight end was later placed on the practice squad/injured list with an undisclosed issue, never getting a chance at elevation to the active roster. Now with a future contract in place, Pryor will have a shot to make the 2026 Texans roster.
