  • Kisean Johnson: Waived by Packers

Johnson was waived by the Packers on Sunday, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.

The wide receiver landed on Green Bay's practice squad in January and then signed another deal with the team in August, but he was not able to find a spot in a crowded receiver room led by Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden. Johnson caught four passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns in Green Bay's preseason finale against Arizona, helping the Packers overcome an 11-point deficit. The Western Kentucky product, who went undrafted in 2025, should at least get a practice-squad shot with Green Bay or another team.

  • Packers' Kisean Johnson: Signs with Green Bay

The Packers signed Johnson to a contract Sunday.

Johnson signed onto the Packers' practice squad in January, but did not sign a reserve/future deal with the franchise. The wide receiver has now made his way back to Green Bay to help with depth, with Jayden Reed (ankle) and Matthew Golden (toe) currently absent due to injury. Johnson is a good candidate to end up on the practice squad once again come September if he is waived by the team before or on cut-down day.

  • Kisean Johnson: Signs with Green Bay

Johnson signed with the Packers' practice squad Tuesday.

Undrafted out of Western Kentucky in 2025, Johnson spent last offseason with the Browns but was cut following the preseason. He'll serve as organizational depth at wide receiver for Green Bay.

  • Kisean Johnson: Cut by Cleveland

The Browns waived Johnson on Tuesday.

Johnson signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky earlier this year. He appeared in the team's first two preseason contests but failed to secure a catch on one target across 51 offensive snaps.
