    Charles (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/retired list by the Titans on Tuesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports. Charles had been getting first-team reps at right guard throughout the offseason, but he now appears to be set to hang up his cleats. The 25-year-old dealt with a calf issue in 2023, though it's unclear if the injury is the reason for his decision to retire.

    Charles (calf) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. Charles has been sidelined since suffering the injury in Week 7. He'll now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before being added to the active roster. The LSU product was the team's starter at left guard before the injury, so his potential return as soon as Week 15 against the Rams should be a boost to the Commanders' offensive line.

    The Commanders placed Charles (calf) on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Charles sustained a calf injury in the Commanders' 14-7 loss to the Giants in Week 7. He'll be forced to miss at least the next four games and will be eligible to return against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Ricky Stromberg, whom the Commanders took in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, is set to make his first career start at left guard in Charles' absence.
