Phillips didn't practice Wednesday but was back out there for Thursday's session. While his presence at practice was an encouraging sign, his status is still worth monitoring ahead of the Week 3 meeting with the Browns. Phillips was forced to sit out the team's first practice of the week as he nurses a back injury. The 27-year-old likely suffered the injury during the team's 34-3 win over Atlanta in Week 2, a game during which he registered two total tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks.
