The Lions signed Virgin to the practice squad Sunday.

However, he will remain with the team on the practice squad with hopes of getting called up should the team suffer any injuries in the secondary.

Virgin spent the first month of the season with the Lions before being waived in early October. The 25-year-old spent his first stint with the team playing exclusively special teams, and should have a similar role this time around.

Virgin was waived by the Lions on Tuesday.
Virgin was let go without a corresponding move, hinting the Lions' brass was not impressed with the early September acquisition. Largely used as a specials team asset, Virgin will need some luck if he's to latch on elsewhere during the 2018 campaign.
