Anthony Johnson: Placed on practice-squad IR
The Bears placed Johnson (undisclosed) on the practice-squad injured reserve Friday.
Johnson appears to have suffered an injury and will now be sidelined for at least four games while he manages the injury. The Bears signed Keidron Smith to the practice squad in a corresponding move, but the defensive back will likely be cut once Johnson is healthy and able to return to the roster.

Saints' Anthony Johnson: Passes physical, off PUP list
Johnson (undisclosed) passed his physical and has been removed from the active/PUP list, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Johnson was sidelined to start camp due to an undisclosed injury, but he's back to full strength and should return to practice soon. The rookie undrafted free agent out of Virginia will presumably compete for a depth role at cornerback, so he should get plenty of action during the preseason.

Saints' Anthony Johnson: Lands on active/PUP list
The Saints have placed Johnson on their active/PUP list ahead of training camp due to an undisclosed injury.
Johnson signed with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent during the offseason. He played with both Virginia and Louisville during his collegiate career and accumulated 138 tackles (94 solo), seven interceptions, and three forced fumbles across 55 games. He is competing for a depth role at cornerback, so a quick return from the active/PUP list would be advantageous.
