The Texans cut Young from their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Young signed to the Texans' practice squad in late October, but he ultimately failed to receive a promotion to the team's active roster during his brief stint. The 23-year-old will now look elsewhere to make his NFL debut.

Michael Young: Joins Texans' practice squad
The Texans signed Young to their practice squad Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
The 190-pounder spent a portion of the offseason with the Colts before he was let go by the team in mid-August. However, Young will now serve as an emergency depth option for the Texans and have an opportunity to make his NFL debut should any of the team's receivers miss time.

Michael Young: Waived by Indy
The Colts waived Young on Tuesday, per independent NFL reporter Dov Kleiman.
Young was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati, but he's among the first wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 85-man roster deadline. In his first season as a Bearcat, the 5-foot-10 wideout started 10 games and was named second-team All-AAC.
