Rams' Quentin Lake: Picks off Brissett in Week 6 loss
Lake registered seven tackles (six solo) and an interception during the Rams' 18-16 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.
Lake picked off Jacoby Brissett early in the first quarter on a pass intended for Trey McBride, which the Rams offense converted into a 44-yard field goal six plays later. It was Lake's second interception of the season, which is already a career-high for the 2022 sixth-rounder. He's also up to eight pass defenses through six regular-season games, which is tied for second-most in the NFL behind Jacob Parrish (nine).

Rams' Quentin Lake: Cleared to play against Buffalo
Lake (hip) is active for Monday's game against the Bills, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.
Lake has been cleared to play through a hip injury after going through pregame warmups. The fifth-year pro has played every single defensive snap through Rams' first four games of the regular season, accumulating 29 tackles (18 solo), seven pass defenses (one interception) and one forced fumble in that span.

Lake earned the questionable tag after logging a limited session Saturday, but head coach Sean McVay told reporters after practice that the fifth-year safety is "trending in the right direction" for Monday night's game. Emmanuel Forbes and Josh Wallace would see more defensive snaps in the event that Lake is not cleared to play against Buffalo.

Lake was on the field for all 61 of the Rams' defensive snaps in Week 4, so it's not clear when he picked up the injury. He'll likely have to get back on the practice field Friday or Saturday to put himself on pace to play Monday versus the Bills.

Lake recorded seven tackles (six solo), three pass breakups and a forced fumble in Monday night's 28-6 win over the Giants.
With the Giants forced to pass much of the night, there were plenty of opportunities to make plays on the ball in the air for the Rams. Lake has now posted back-to-back games of three pass breakups, and he's logged 17 tackles (13 solo) with one interception.

Though Los Angeles was unexpectedly routed in both teams' season opener, Lake made a strong impression, leading the Rams in stops and defensed passes. Among the latter was a second-quarter interception of Brock Purdy that halted a San Francisco drive in Los Angeles territory. Lake missed the Rams' final seven regular-season games last year due to an elbow injury, but he returned to play every one of the team's defensive snaps in the postseason and appears fully healthy to begin 2026.

Rams' Quentin Lake: Campaign disrupted by elbow surgery
Lake finished the 2025 regular season with 61 tackles (37 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one forced fumble while adding 10 passes defensed, including one interception, over 10 games with the Rams.
Lake played the first 10 weeks of the 2025 season without missing a single defensive snap. This impressive streak came to an end when the slot cornerback suffered an elbow injury in the Week 11 win over the Seahawks, which required surgery that would keep Lake out until the playoffs. Fortunately, the cornerback returned for January's playoff run, where he once again logged every defensive snap. The overall consistency from the 27-year-old earned him a three-year, $42 million contract that will keep him as the starting slot cornerback for the Rams through the 2028 season.

Lake has come down with an illness and will not be able to participate in the first practice of Week 21. The starting slot cornerback will likely be able to recover in time to practice ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Seahawks. If Lake is unable to suit up for Sunday's contest, Josh Wallace is next on the depth chart at slot cornerback.
