Fannin (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Bengals, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
With David Njoku (knee/personal) also having been ruled out, Blake Whiteheart and Brenden Bates, along with potentially practice-squad member Sal Cannella, are slated to handle Cleveland's tight end duties Week 18. Fannin thus finishes his impressive rookie campaign with a team-high 72 catches (on 107 targets) for 731 yards and six TDs in 16 regular-season contests. Looking ahead, the 2025 third-rounder is a big part of the Browns' future and thus is in line to maintain fantasy utility next season, regardless of the inevitable personnel changes that are looming for the currently 4-12 team this coming offseason.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Missing another practice
Rotowire
Fannin (groin) remained sidelined at practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
With both Fannin and David Njoku (knee/personal) having missed all three of the Browns' practices this week, the TE duo is trending toward being ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Bengals. If that ends up happening, Blake Whiteheart and Brenden Bates, along with potentially practice-squad member Sal Cannella, would be in line to handle Cleveland's tight end duties this weekend.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Still not practicing
Rotowire
Fannin (groin) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
With Fannin and David Njoku (knee/personal) poised to log consecutive 'DNPs,' it looks like the Browns could be without their top two tight ends in Sunday's season finale against the Bengals. If that ends up being the case, Blake Whiteheart, Brenden Bates (shoulder) and practice-squad member Sal Cannella would be in line to handle the team's TE duties Week 18.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Not slated to practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Fannin (groin) isn't in line to practice Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Fannin exited the Browns' Week 17 win over the Steelers after appearing to aggravate a groin injury that first cropped up this past Friday. He'll now have two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's season finale against the Bengals, but if he and/or David Njoku -- who hasn't played since Week 14 due to a knee injury -- are out this weekend, Blake Whiteheart, Brenden Bates (shoulder) and practice squad member Sal Cannella could be available to handle Cleveland's Week 18 tight end duties.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Set to undergo MRI
Rotowire
Fannin, who left Sunday's 13-6 win over the Steelers with a groin injury, is slated to undergo an MRI on Monday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Per Jackson, the tight end's current issue is believed to be an aggravation of the groin injury that he suffered in practice Friday. With the Browns out of playoff contention, the team figures to proceed cautiously with Fannin ahead of the team's Week 18 season finale against the Bengals. The same presumably applies to fellow TE David Njoku, who hasn't played since Week 14 due to a knee injury.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Won't return Sunday
Rotowire
Fannin (groin) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Steelers, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Fannin appears to have aggravated the groin injury that caused him to initially be listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional matchup. He ends the day having secured both of his targets for 30 yards and one touchdown. With David Njoku (knee) already ruled out, Blake Whiteheart, Brenden Bates and Sal Cannella will operate as Cleveland's available tight ends for the remainder of Sunday's game.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Remains likely to play Sunday
Rotowire
Fannin (groin) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Steelers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Fannin was added to the Browns' injury report Friday after he was a limited participant in the team's final practice of the week, but the rookie tight end said after the session that he intends to play versus Pittsburgh. He's experierenced no setbacks since Friday's practice, according to Fowler, and Adam Schefter of ESPN adds that Fannin is expected to be full go against Pittsburgh. With David Njoku (knee) out again for Week 17, Fannin is once again one of the top fantasy tight ends due to his projected target volume.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Position leader Week 16
Rotowire
Fannin is expected to lead the Browns' tight end unit Week 16 against the Bills, as David Njoku (knee) has been ruled out, per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Njoku will miss a second consecutive game, paving the way for Fannin to garner a high snap volume and potential red-zone looks. He's amassed 25 combined targets the last two games and appears to be rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' preferred receiver. In the four games with Sanders under center, Fannin has 22 receptions on 36 targets (three in the red zone) for 245 yards and two touchdowns.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Targeted 14 times
Rotowire
Fannin recorded seven receptions on 14 targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 31-1 loss to the Bears. He added one rush for two yards.
Fannin accounted for nearly half of Cleveland's total targets, though his inefficient day reflected that of Shedeur Sanders. He was targeted in all depths of the field, but his deep opportunities were either intercepted or fell incomplete. While his results will likely remain inconsistent, it's clear that Fannin is Sanders' preferred target and that he will remain heavily involved in the offense.

Browns' Harold Fannin Jr.: TEs to start
Rotowire
Fannin had a huge game in Week 14 against Tennessee with eight catches for 114 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets, and he has now scored at least 11.3 PPR points in each of his past two games against the 49ers and Titans. In three starts with Shedeur Sanders, Fannin has 15 catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns on 22 targets, and he should benefit in Week 15 at Chicago if David Njoku (knee) is out. Eight tight ends have also scored at least 9.0 PPR points against the Bears this season, and Fannin has top-five upside in all leagues based on his recent level of play.

Browns' Harold Fannin Jr.: Top DFS Play
Rotowire
Fannin is still just $5,800 on FanDuel despite the fact that he projects for the second-most points on the main slate. The Bears have given up the sixth most receptions to tight ends this season, and Fannin is clearly Shedeur Sanders' favorite target. This should be another game where the Browns play from behind and have to air it out. Don't be surprised if Sanders throws 40 passes and Fannin has another game with double-digit targets.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Career-best performance in loss
Rotowire
Fannin secured eight of 11 targets for 114 yards and a touchdown in the Browns' 31-29 loss to the Titans on Sunday.
Fannin played an integral role in Shedeur Sanders' career-best performance, leading the Browns in receptions, receiving yards and targets with figures that also all qualified as season highs. Fannin's score, his fourth of the season, came on an impressive seven-yard catch late in the fourth quarter for the final points of the afternoon, and he now has at least six receptions on four occasions during his productive rookie campaign. Fannin will take a 59-619-4 line on 85 targets into a Week 15 road matchup against the Bears next Sunday.

Browns' Harold Fannin Jr.: Sleeper TEs
Rotowire
Fannin has scored at least 8.4 PPR points in four of his past five games, so he's given you a safe floor with his production, but he also has two outings over that span with at least 11.3 PPR points. One of those games was in Week 13 against San Francisco when he had three catches for 43 yards and a touchdown on five targets, and he will hopefully stay hot in Week 14 against Tennessee. The Titans have allowed three tight ends in the past four games to score at least 11.1 PPR points, and I like Fannin as a low-end starter in all leagues.

Browns' Harold Fannin Jr.: Week 14 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Fannin caught his first touchdown since Week 8 in Week 13 against San Francisco, and he finished with three catches for 43 yards on five targets. He's the only reliable pass catcher for the Browns heading into Week 14 against Tennessee, and Fannin has scored at least 8.4 PPR points in four of his past five games. I consider him a low-end starter in all leagues against the Titans, and he's worth adding where available for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Hits paydirt for only Browns TD
Rotowire
Fannin caught three of five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the 49ers.
Most of the damage came on a 34-yard TD pass from Shedeur Sanders early in the second quarter, the longest passing play of the day by either team on a very windy day in Cleveland. Fannin's five targets and 43 yards paced all Browns pass catchers, and in two-plus games since Sanders took the reins of the offense, the rookie tight end has a 9-109-1 line on 16 targets. Fannin will look for his fourth touchdown of the season in a Week 14 tilt against the Titans.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Four catches in Week 12 win
Rotowire
Fannin caught four of six targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Raiders.
Fannin led the team in targets from Shedeur Sanders, as the rookie quarterback made his first NFL start. Whether the Browns have Sanders or Dillon Gabriel (concussion) under center in Week 13 against the 49ers, Fannin should continue to play a prominent role in Cleveland's rookie-heavy offense. Fannin has been targeted at least five times in each of his past six games.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Limited to two catches Sunday
Rotowire
Fannin (hamstring) had two receptions on five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Ravens.
Fannin continues to be limited during the practice week with a lingering hamstring issue, but it has not cost the tight end any game action while he continues to play through it. The third-round rookie still finished ahead of veteran starter David Njoku in production Sunday, with the latter being held to one catch for seven yards on two targets. The status of starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel (concussion) is currently unclear for Week 11, but Fannin should continue providing deep-league value no matter which rookie signal-caller is under center against the Raiders next Sunday.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Gets green light to face Ravens
Rotowire
Fannin (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Fannin continues to play through a hamstring injury. He was a limited participant in Cleveland's first two practices during Week 11 preparations before practicing in full Friday. Both Fannin and David Njoku likely will remain involved in Cleveland's passing game.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Limited again Thursday
Rotowire
Fannin (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Fannin played through his hamstring injury during Cleveland's loss to the Jets in Week 10, in which he caught four of seven targets for 44 yards. Now, coming off back-to-back limited practices, he'll likely need to upgrade to full activity levels at Friday's session in order to avoid an injury designation for Week 11. That said, as long as Fannin can close out the practice week with at least another limited session, it appears he'll have solid odds of being available for Sunday's contest against the Ravens.
