Broncos' Tyler Badie: Set to receive tender
The Broncos have opted to tender Badie, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Badie played in 16 regular-season games last year and totaled eight carries for 23 yards. He was more active as a pass catcher, corralling 19 of 31 targets for 141 yards, and as a kick returner, racking up 452 yards on 17 attempts. Badie will likely serve as a backup again next season, though there could be room for his role to expand depending on what Denver does to build its RB corps during the offseason. J.K. Dobbins (foot) will be an unrestricted free agent and Jaleel McLaughlin wasn't tendered, so only RJ Harvey is clearly ahead of Badie in the pecking order among the team's ball carriers who are certain to return.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Minimal production in 2025 campaign
Badie ended the 2025 regular season with eight carries for 23 yards, adding 19 receptions on 31 targets for 141 yards across 16 games.
Badie was mostly an afterthought in 2025, with teammates J.K. Dobbins (foot) and RJ Harvey stealing the show for the vast majority of the season. The second-year running back was used sparingly out of the backfield, primarily as a pass catcher in hurry-up situations. Not surprisingly, Badie played a complementary role behind Dobbins and Harvey this season. After Dobbins landed on IR, teammate Jaleel McLaughlin leaped Badie on the depth chart as well. The 25-year-old Badie will become an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, so if Denver offers him a tender, he'll be back with the Broncos next season. If Denver decides to not make the offer, the Missouri product will become an unrestricted free agent and could join another squad's running-back rotation as a depth option.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Minimal production in Week 16
Badie caught one of three targets for two yards in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Jaguars.
Badie failed to record a single carry for the second straight week and the 11th time this season. Moreover, the 25-year-old running back has seen his role as a pass catcher diminish in recent weeks, while rookie RJ Harvey has taken a step forward in that capacity. The Missouri product played just 15 of the Broncos' 66 offensive snaps Sunday, behind Harvey (39) and ahead of Jaleel McLaughlin (10). Barring an injury to Harvey or McLaughlin, Badie holds little fantasy value going forward. Next up for Denver is a Week 17 road matchup against the Chiefs.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Little usage in Week 15
Badie reeled in his lone target for a one-yard gain and returned four kickoffs for 113 yards in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Packers.
Badie was on the field for just seven of the Broncos' 68 offensive snaps, trailing fellow running backs RJ Harvey (46 snaps) and Jaleel McLaughlin (nine) in playing time. Harvey will likely continue to dominate the usage and snaps out of the backfield when available, but his health is a bit of a question mark heading into Week 16 after he exited late in Sunday's win with a rib injury. The Broncos haven't provided word on the severity of Harvey's injury, though the team added to its backfield depth Monday by claiming Cody Schrader off waivers. If Harvey ends up sitting out this Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Badie would likely be part of a committee that includes McLaughlin and Schrader.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Five touches against Las Vegas
Badie rushed four times for 16 yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Raiders.
Badie was unable to get much going Sunday, recording 21 total yards against the Raiders. The 25-year-old running back played just 12 of the Broncos' 74 offensive snaps, behind RJ Harvey (50) but ahead of Jaleel McLaughlin (10). Badie is not seeing enough consistent usage to be an impactful player for fantasy purposes. With that said, the Missouri product should remain off the fantasy radar when the Broncos host the Packers in Week 15.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Non-factor against Chiefs
Badie caught his lone target for zero yards in Sunday's 22-19 win over the Chiefs.
Badie operated as Denver's No. 3 running back in Week 11, playing just eight of the Broncos' 62 offensive snaps. The Missouri product failed to record a single rushing attempt in the contest. Meanwhile, RJ Harvey stepped into the No. 1 role with J.K. Dobbins (foot) on IR, playing 38 snaps and handling 14 total touches. Badie is likely to continue to play a pass-catching role for the Broncos as the season progresses, with Jaleel McLaughlin handling primary backup duties behind Harvey. McLaughlin had six touches on his eight snaps and scored the only touchdown for the Broncos against a formidable Chiefs defense. The 25-year-old Badie will be difficult to trust for consistent production each week, making him a risky bet for fantasy managers when the Broncos return from their Week 12 bye to square off against the Commanders in Week 13.
