Vikings' Aaron Dykes: Does not make team
Dykes was waived by the Vikings on Monday, Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune reports.
Dykes was the fourth running back on Minnesota's depth chart, rendering this move relatively unsurprising. The undrafted free agent joined the team following a collegiate career at Richmond that saw him gain 1,980 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 470 carries across 42 games. He will now either get a practice squad opportunity or be on the lookout for a new landing spot.

Vikings' Aaron Dykes: Finds an opportunity
Dykes signed a contract with the Vikings on Thursday.
Dykes went undrafted out of Richmond and remained on the market all summer. He played in 42 games during college, gaining 1,980 yards on the ground and 16 touchdowns on 470 carries. Despite his late arrival to the squad for camp, he'll now work to make the most of his opportunity.
