The Falcons waived Banks (undisclosed) from injured reserve Wednesday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Banks reverted to the Falcons' IR on Aug. 31 after clearing waivers. The linebacker likely thinks he can contribute to another organization during the 2026 season and has reached an injury settlement with the team to become a free agent.

Banks recorded two tackles during the preseason, but he appears to have picked up an undisclosed injury along the way. Banks has missed considerable time with the injury, but he still has more than a week to make an impression and ultimately earn a spot on the 53-man roster. The 24-year-old attempted to make the Packers' roster in 2023 and was unable to do so, but was brought back in January on a reserve/future contract.

The Packers listed Banks on the injury report Sunday due to a groin issue, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Banks was let go by the Packers ahead of the roster cut deadline in 2023, but he rejoined the team on a future/reserve contract in January. The groin injury will hopefully be a small setback as he looks to compete for a spot on Green Bay's roster in his second year in the league.
