  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Picks off Goff in Week 14

Nixon registered 10 tackles (three solo) and two pass defenses (including an interception) in Thursday's 34-31 loss to Detroit. Nixon tied Quay Walker as the Packers' second-leading tackler this past Thursday behind Isaiah McDuffie (15). Nixon logged his first interception of the season when he picked off Jared Goff early in the third quarter, which set the Packers up deep in Lions' territory and led to a six-yard touchdown run by Josh Jacobs three plays later. Through 13 regular-season games, Nixon has logged 65 tackles (42 solo), including 2.0 sacks, six pass defenses (including one interception) and two forced fumbles.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Logs another sack in loss

Nixon recorded seven total tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also forcing a fumble during Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Vikings. Nixon made a huge play in the fourth quarter to keep the Packers in Sunday's contest, logging a strip-sack on Sam Darnold that led to a two-play touchdown drive for Green Bay. However, Nixon struggled in coverage throughout Week 4's loss, giving up five receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown while being targeted six times. The South Carolina product is expected to remain Green Bay's top nickel corner as the team takes on the Rams in Week 5.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Nets first full sack

Nixon registered seven tackles (six solo) and a sack in Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles. He also returned one kick for 24 yards. Nixon finished a clear third among Packers cornerbacks in Week 1 snaps, and he also picked up the first full sack of his career. He signed a three-year contract with Green Bay over the offseason, so expect him to continue filling a key role -- both on defense and special teams.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Re-ups with Green Bay

The Packers are re-signing Nixon to a three-year, $18 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Nixon was named a first-team All-Pro in both 2022 and 2023 as a return man, but last season is when he saw his defensive role heightened, playing a career-high 809 snaps with the majority of those coming as the Packers' slot corner. He remained extremely effective on kickoff returns, averaging an NFL-best 26.1 yards per return while leading the league in total kickoff returns (30) and yards (782). On defense, Nixon racked up 80 tackles (59 solo), one interception and 0.5 sacks.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Remains in versatile role

Nixon made seven tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 23-20 victory over the Chargers. He also returned two kickoffs for 60 yards and two punts for two yards. Nixon played over 80 percent of the defensive snaps for a third straight game, and he also made a mark in the return game. Nixon was named to the 2022 All-Pro Team as a kick returner, and he is trending toward repeating that feat. With one game to play in Week 11, he leads all players with 562 kick-return yards and is averaging 26.8 yards per kick return -- a mark that tops all players who have taken back at least eight kicks.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Nets eight Week 1 stops

Nixon had eight tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 38-20 victory over the Bears. He also returned two kicks for 55 yards. The All-Pro return man was not used on punt returns, but that's because he has carved out a key role in Green Bay's secondary, as he was one of three cornerbacks to open Sunday's contest on the field. Nixon may not have as many chances to score as he did last season, but he remains an important player for the Packers.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Will return to Green Bay

The Packers and Nixon (concussion) agreed Monday on a one-year deal with a max value of $6 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Nixon signed with the Packers in March of 2022 and reunited with special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia, who coached Nixon during his previous stint in Las Vegas. Nixon, an undrafted product out of South Carolina, periodically saw some work on defense with Green Bay, totaling 23 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble across 276 defensive snaps, but he made his mark as a return man after Amari Rodgers was waived in November. Nixon totaled 1,009 kick-return yards, 140 punt-return yards and one touchdown across 12 games as the primary return man en route to first-team All-Pro honors. Based on Rapoport's report, it sounds like Nixon's new deal is laced with incentives, so he'll have to build off his success from last year to earn the full $6 million. He suffered a concussion during the Packers' Week 18 loss to the Lions, but there's no reason to believe that issue will impact his availability for offseason workouts.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Managing groin injury

Nixon is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a groin injury. Nixon had a 93-yard kick return ahead of the Packers' first offensive possession Sunday, but he apparently sustained a groin injury in the second quarter. It's unclear whether he'll be able to return, but Romeo Doubs took over as Green Bay's kick returner late in the second quarter.

  • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Makes mark in victory

Nixon had two assisted tackles and an interception in Sunday's 28-19 victory over the Bears. He also returned four kicks for 102 yards in the game. The interception was the first of Nixon's career, and it came late in the fourth quarter and ensured the Packers walked away with the win. He also racked up over 100 return yards for the fourth game in a row. Nixon will presumably continue fielding kicks after the Packers' Week 14 bye, and he figures to remain part of the defensive game plan for as long as fellow cornerback Eric Stokes (ankle/knee) is sidelined.

Nixon (shoulder) was listed as a full participant on the Packers' injury report Wednesday. • Raiders' Keisean Nixon: Ruled out once again

Nixon (ankle) won't play Thursday against Dallas, according to Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site. He has appeared in just five games for Las Vegas this season and has played just 13 total defensive snaps. As such, his absence is not expected to affect many fantasy rosters.

  • Raiders' Keisean Nixon: Not playing against Bengals

Nixon (ankle) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Bengals, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. Nixon headed to the sidelines last Sunday against the Chiefs and couldn't recover in time, as evidenced by the fact that he was unable to practice throughout the week. This means Brandon Facyson (finger/hamstring) or Amik Robertson could be in line to gain more snaps as replacements, though it remains to be seen if Facyson will play or not.

  • Raiders' Keisean Nixon: Upgraded to questionable

Nixon (ankle) has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs, Willie Ramirez of ESPN Las Vegas reports. Nixon was originally listed as doubtful after being a non-participant at practice throughout the week. He's primarily been a contributor on special teams, so if he is unable to play Sunday, it shouldn't impact the Raiders secondary.

Nixon (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's matchup against the Giants. Nixon injured his ankle during the Raiders' Week 9 matchup against the Giants and has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest. The 24-year-old has only played 13 defensive snaps this season, so his absence shouldn't affect the Raiders defensive rotations.
