Hollins was waived by the Browns on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Hollins was waived Monday as the Browns trim down their roster ahead of the regular season. The wide receiver was a member of Cleveland's practice squad for most of last season. Hollins did join the active roster for Week 17 and the playoffs, but he never saw game action. The 24-year-old will look to fill a roster spot on another team ahead of the 2021 campaign, but his lack of game experience and hamstring injury will likely work against the 6-foot, 166-pound wideout.

Hollins began 2019 on the practice squad before finishing his campaign with two catches for 46 yards in five regular-season appearances. We'll see if Hollins can make it back to the team's active roster, but it certainly seems as if the Vikings want him back on the practice squad to begin 2020, particularly after a reportedly impressive training camp.

Hollins is having an impressive training camp, as his bulked-up frame has helped him win at the catch point, Arif Hasan of The Athletic reports. He's battling Chad Beebe, Tajae Sharpe and K.J. Osborn for the fourth and fifth spots on the receiver depth chart.
With a run-oriented offense and a narrow passing focus the past two seasons, the third and fourth receiver roles on the Vikings have not been very productive. However, the departure of Stefon Diggs could change the mix, especially if 2020 first-round draft pick Justin Jefferson isn't able to hold down a starting job. Hollins could be a candidate to emerge if such a scenario unfolds.

Hollins spent the first three months on the Vikings' practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in December while Adam Thielen was dealing with a nagging hamstring injury. The undrafted rookie barely played until the season finale, when he logged a 98 percent snap share while the team was resting its starters. Hollins is an exclusive-rights free agent in March, and while it seems likely he'll be retained, he'll need to battle for a depth role in 2020.

Receiving his first extended playing time of the season, Hollins led the team in receiving yards while tying for third in receptions. Most of his damage was done on a 35-yard connection with Sean Mannion, but the latter's inability to lead the offense efficiently limited Hollins' upside. His role in the postseason figures to be limited to special teams.
