Alexander Hollins: Inks with Browns' practice squad
Cleveland signed Hollins to the practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.

Alexander Hollins: Waived by Browns
Hollins was waived by the Browns on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Hollins was waived Monday as the Browns trim down their roster ahead of the regular season. The wide receiver was a member of Cleveland's practice squad for most of last season. Hollins did join the active roster for Week 17 and the playoffs, but he never saw game action. The 24-year-old will look to fill a roster spot on another team ahead of the 2021 campaign, but his lack of game experience and hamstring injury will likely work against the 6-foot, 166-pound wideout.

The severity of the injury isn't known, but Hollins could at least take it easy for a day or two. The 24-year-old spent most of last season on the practice squad, though he joined the active roster for Week 17 and the playoffs, but he didn't see game action.

Browns' Alexander Hollins: Sitting out Sunday
Hollins (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Hollins will be a healthy scratch for the second straight playoff game. If the Browns move on to the AFC Championship Game, Hollins likely will face the same fate as long as Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge stay healthy.

Browns' Alexander Hollins: Among fill-in candidates
Hollins was mentioned as a possible fill-in third wideout for Sunday's playoff game against the Steelers, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The Browns will be without KhaDarel Hodge (reserve/COVID-19) while Donovan Peoples-Jones (concussion) is questionable heading into Sunday night's playoff match. Hollins, who was signed off the Vikings' practice squad Dec. 28, was one of the inactives for Week 17's playoff-sealing victory over Pittsburgh. Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski also mentioned Marvin Hall and Ja'Marcus Bradley as candidates , while also indicating running back Kareem Hunt could line up at wide receiver.

Alexander Hollins: Back in Minnesota

Hollins was cut by the Vikings on Saturday. He supplied two catches for 46 yards in five games for the club last season. Alexander Hollins: Hits waiver wire
Hollins was waived Saturday by the Vikings, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Hollins began 2019 on the practice squad before finishing his campaign with two catches for 46 yards in five regular-season appearances. We'll see if Hollins can make it back to the team's active roster, but it certainly seems as if the Vikings want him back on the practice squad to begin 2020, particularly after a reportedly impressive training camp.

Vikings' Alexander Hollins: Having impressive training camp
Hollins is having an impressive training camp, as his bulked-up frame has helped him win at the catch point, Arif Hasan of The Athletic reports. He's battling Chad Beebe, Tajae Sharpe and K.J. Osborn for the fourth and fifth spots on the receiver depth chart.
With a run-oriented offense and a narrow passing focus the past two seasons, the third and fourth receiver roles on the Vikings have not been very productive. However, the departure of Stefon Diggs could change the mix, especially if 2020 first-round draft pick Justin Jefferson isn't able to hold down a starting job. Hollins could be a candidate to emerge if such a scenario unfolds.

Vikings' Alexander Hollins: Plays six games in rookie year
Hollins recorded two catches for 46 yards over five regular-season appearances in 2019.
Hollins spent the first three months on the Vikings' practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in December while Adam Thielen was dealing with a nagging hamstring injury. The undrafted rookie barely played until the season finale, when he logged a 98 percent snap share while the team was resting its starters. Hollins is an exclusive-rights free agent in March, and while it seems likely he'll be retained, he'll need to battle for a depth role in 2020.

Vikings' Alexander Hollins: Leads team in receiving yards
Hollins caught two of three targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 21-19 loss to the Bears.
Receiving his first extended playing time of the season, Hollins led the team in receiving yards while tying for third in receptions. Most of his damage was done on a 35-yard connection with Sean Mannion, but the latter's inability to lead the offense efficiently limited Hollins' upside. His role in the postseason figures to be limited to special teams.

He'll provide the Vikings with receiver depth behind Stefon Diggs, Bisi Johnson and Laquon Treadwell.
