Antonio Grier: Tries out with Miami
The Dolphins held a tryout for Grier on Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Grier was waived by the Buccaneers in early September due to an undisclosed issue. The linebacker spent the 2025 season recovering from his injury and is ready to return to the NFL. Grier is a second-year player who played in seven games for the Buccaneers during the 2025 season. The linebacker played just one defensive snap over the seven-game span, spending another 104 plays with the special teams unit.

Antonio Grier: Let go with injury settlement
The Buccaneers waived Grier (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Grier was set to miss the entire 2025 season after reverting to the Buccaneers' IR in late August. With the injury settlement, he'll be able to sign with a team in need of linebacker depth once he's fully recovered from his injury.

Grief (undisclosed) reverted to the Buccaneers' injured reserve list Wednesday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
The linebacker was waived/injured by the team one day earlier, per Scott Smith of the Bucs' official site. Grier will now need to reach an injury settlement with Tampa Bay to have a chance to play in 2025. The second-year pro suited up for seven regular-season games in 2024, making one tackle.

Buccaneers' Antonio Grier: Signed off practice squad
The Buccaneers signed Grier off the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Grier joined the Bucs' practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. Adding Grier to the active roster gives the Bucs some additional depth at linebacker after SirVocea Dennis (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve.
