  • Falcons' Jase McClellan: Totals 23 yards

McClellan rushed the ball four times for 12 yards in Friday's 31-0 preseason loss to the Jaguars. He added one reception on one target for 11 yards. McClellan followed Carlos Washington into the game with both Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson resting. He has flashed some ability throughout the preseason, particularly in last week's matchup against the Ravens when he totaled 55 yards on the ground. That appears to be enough to have McClellan fourth on the depth chart, putting him on the roster bubble heading into cutdown day.

  • Falcons' Jase McClellan: Scores late TD

McClellan took 11 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 13-12 preseason loss to the Ravens. Carlos Washington, a 2023 UDFA, worked ahead of McClellan for a second straight week, getting the start and most of the first-half playing time while Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier were held out. McClellan had some nice plays in the second half, including a TD in the final minute, but he was stuffed on a subsequent two-point conversion attempt to take the lead. The rookie sixth-round pick seems to be on the roster bubble, competing with Washington for the third RB spot on a team with the top two backs set in stone.

  • Falcons' Jase McClellan: Garners 43 total yards in opener

McClellan rushed nine times for 30 yards and brought in two of four targets for 13 yards in the Falcons' 20-13 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Friday night. The rookie sixth-round pick was the second running back to garner a touch for the Falcons, with McClellan a beneficiary of the fact both Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier were held out of the exhibition opener. The Alabama product led the Falcons in rushing yardage, although 11 of his yards came on one carry. All iterations of Atlanta's offensive line struggled to open running lanes Friday, however, and McClellan's overall volume seems to indicate head coach Raheem Morris and his staff are willing to give him an ample platform to make a case for a deep reserve running back spot this preseason.
