  • Bills' Quentin Skinner: Claimed by Bills

Buffalo claimed Skinner (undisclosed) off waivers Tuesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. Skinner was waived from IR by the Jets on Monday, but he will stick around in the AFC East after being claimed by the Bills. Presumably now healthy, Skinner will spend training camp competing for a reserve role at wide receiver with his new team. He made one regular-season appearance with New York in 2025.

  • Quentin Skinner: Let go by Jets

The Jets waived Skinner (undisclosed) from injured reserve Monday. Skinner was initially waived with an injury designation in early June, and he reverted to IR after going unclaimed. That could have resulted in the wideout being ineligible to play in 2026, but after being waived Monday he'll now be free to sign with another organization once he's healthy.

  • Quentin Skinner: Dropped by Gang Green

The Jets waived Skinner (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday. The 24-year-old wideout from Kansas spent time with the Jets' practice squad and active roster last season, appearing in one game and catching his lone target for 10 yards across 15 offensive snaps. Skinner is now dealing with an apparent injury, and his spot on New York's roster has been taken by Jalen Walthall.

  • Jets' Quentin Skinner: Signs with active roster

The Jets signed Skinner off their practice squad Saturday. The 24-year-old from Kansas joined the Jets' practice squad in late August after failing to make the initial 53-man roster, but he's now been elevated ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots. Skinner has yet to make his NFL debut after posting 557 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 25 catches during his final collegiate season in 2024.

  • Quentin Skinner: Doesn't make 53-man roster

Skinner was waived Tuesday, Randy Lange and Eric Allen of the Jets' official site report. Skinner gave the coaching staff something to think about with a productive preseason, but the undrafted rookie out of Kansas ultimately failed to make the initial 53-man roster for the Jets. He'll almost certainly stick around with the team's practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

  • Jets' Quentin Skinner: Scores team's only TD Saturday

Skinner caught all four of his targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 31-12 preseason loss to the Giants. Skinner is one of the few Jets who managed to raise his stock in what was an ugly second preseason game for most of the team. He caught a four-yard touchdown pass from fellow undrafted rookie Brady Cook in the fourth quarter. Skinner's a long shot to make the 53-man roster, but he has a decent chance of sticking as a member of the practice squad with the Jets in 2025.
