  • Raiders' Decamerion Richardson: Will miss second straight game

Richardson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 2 contest versus Baltimore, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.

Richardson is dealing with a hamstring issue that also kept him out of a Week 1 loss to the Chargers. The cornerback didn't practice in any capacity this week, so he could be at risk of being sidelined for additional contests as well. Richardson has yet to make his regular-season NFL debut after being selected by Las Vegas in the fourth round of April's draft.

  • Raiders' Decamerion Richardson: Won't play Sunday

Richardson (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of the Raiders' game against the Chargers on Sunday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

The 2024 fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State won't be making his NFL debut in Week 1, as he'll be sidelined with a hamstring issue. With Richardson missing Sunday's contest, expect Darnay Holmes to serve as the Raiders' top rotational cornerback.

  • Raiders' Decamerion Richardson: Las Vegas adds in fourth round

The Raiders selected Richardson in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 112th overall.

Richardson was a two-year starter on a solid Mississippi State pass defense but appears more toolsy than skilled at the moment. Richardson has almost blue chip athletic traits at 6-foot-2, 188 pounds, boasting exceptional reach (32 and 3/8-inch arms) to go with blistering athletic testing (4.34-second 40-yard dash, 128-inch broad jump), but he gave up more catches than someone as athletic as him should at the college level. Indeed, Richardson's high tackle totals (164 in two years) are sooner a concern than an applicable strength, but if coach Antonio Pierce and company can coach up Richardson, then the loud tools could show up more in the form of more incompletions and fewer tackles.
