The Steelers placed Kent (undisclosed) on the reserve/PUP list Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Kent spent all of training camp on the active/PUP list, enabling the cornerback to start the regular season on the reserve/PUP list. The 24-year-old will need to miss at least the first four games of the regular season before he is eligible to return to the active roster.

Kent went down with a foot injury at the start of 2025 training camp but returned in December only to suffer a torn ACL, derailing his rookie season. Kent missed the majority of the Steelers' 2025 campaign due to an ankle injury sustained during training camp. Then, just as his 21-day practice window was opened Dec. 3 for a potential return, he sustained an ACL injury that sidelined him for the remainder of his rookie season. However, it now appears he's moved past both issues and will battle for a depth spot in Pittsburgh's cornerback room as the offseason progresses.

Kent was designated to return from a foot injury Wednesday, and he had 21 days to practice before he had to be activated.
