McNabb missed 19 straight games due to an upper-body injury sustained Dec. 31 versus the Predators. Following a 19-game stint on the shelf, McNabb is set to return to the lineup Wednesday in Los Angeles. Golden Knights' Brayden McNabb: Expected to be out through Olympics
General manager Kelly McCrimmon conveyed Monday that McNabb (upper body) isn't scheduled to return to the lineup until after the 2026 Winter Olympics, per SinBin.vegas.
McNabb was classified as week-to-week at the beginning of January and landed on injured reserve shortly thereafter. The left-shot blueliner has missed nine straight games and likely won't be back in the lineup until Feb. 25 in Los Angeles at the earliest.

McNabb didn't play after getting hurt in the third period. The defenseman's status wasn't updated after the game, leaving him in doubt for Friday versus the Blues. McNabb found the back of the net for the first time this season and did it in style, potting a snap shot past Jet Greaves to give the Golden Knights a comeback win. This was McNabb's first goal and second point of the season despite playing every game for Vegas, so his fantasy appeal shouldn't be very high any time soon.

McNabb sustained the injury when he crashed into the boards late in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to Edmonton. Initially, he wasn't expected to play after missing Saturday's morning skate, but he'll remain in the lineup as Vegas attempts to claw back from a 2-0 series deficit. McNabb has three assists, six PIM, seven shots, 23 hits and 20 blocks across eight outings this playoffs while averaging 21:14 of ice time. He's projected to play alongside Shea Theodore in Game 3, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

McNabb sustained an apparent upper body injury after crashing into the boards in overtime of Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Oilers in Game 2, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
McNabb appeared to be favoring his shoulder after he was tripped, which sent him into an awkward fall.
