Flames' Ryan Strome: Two points in team debut
Strome scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and logged two hits in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Hurricanes.
Strome was acquired from the Ducks on Friday in a salary dump. The 32-year-old forward goes from being a regular scratch in Anaheim to the new third-line center for Calgary, ostensibly replacing Nazem Kadri, who was dealt to Colorado. Strome's improved playing time should help his offense, but he's in a tough team situation in Calgary. The 32-year-old has 11 points, 37 shots on net, 18 hits and a minus-4 rating over 34 appearances this season and will need to be steady on offense to earn attention in fantasy.

Flames' Ryan Strome: Acquired for draft pick
Strome was acquired by Calgary from Anaheim on Friday in exchange for a 2027 seventh-round pick, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
Strome recorded at least 41 points in six straight regular seasons from 2019-20 through 2024-25. However, he has been limited to just three goals and nine points in 33 appearances with Anaheim in 2025-26. This trade will give him a chance to start fresh with a new team. Strome is signed to a five-year, $25 million contract that runs through the 2026-27 campaign.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Nabs helper Wednesday
Strome logged an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Islanders.
Strome saw 15:01 of ice time in his first game action since Jan. 26. The 32-year-old appeared to fall out of favor, with the Ducks often opting to dress seven blueliners, though Strome missed some while ill earlier in the week. The 32-year-old forward has disappointed this year with just nine points, 35 shots on net, 16 hits, 27 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 33 appearances. He is in line to fall short of the 40-point mark for the first time since 2018-19, which he split between the Oilers and Rangers.

Strome (illness) participated in Tuesday's morning skate, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Strome was a healthy scratch for four straight games before missing the last two due to an illness. He appears to be available to play, but he is in line to be a scratch against Colorado on Tuesday. Strome has three goals, eight points, 35 shots on net and 16 hits in 32 appearances this season.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Won't play Sunday
Strome (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Flames, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Strome didn't practice Saturday due to his illness, and he'll be forced to miss Sunday's matchup. His next opportunity to return will be Tuesday against Colorado, but he isn't guaranteed a spot in the lineup when healthy since he's been scratched on several occasions recently.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Dealing with illness
Strome (illness) didn't participate in Saturday's practice, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Strome also sat out Friday's 5-4 overtime win over Winnipeg because he was under the weather. He has produced three goals, eight points, 35 shots on net and 16 hits across 32 appearances this season. Once he has recovered from his illness, Strome could still be a candidate to be a healthy scratch.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Pots goal Friday
Strome scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 shootout win over the Kings.
Strome ended a nine-game point drought with the goal. He was scratched three times in that span, but he likely won't head back to the press box since Troy Terry (upper body) and Leo Carlsson (thigh) are out of action. Strome now has three goals, seven points, 30 shots on net and a minus-7 rating over 26 appearances. He's in the fourth year of a five-year contract at a $5 million cap hit, though the Ducks may look for a suitor in a trade since Carlsson and Cutter Gauthier are likely poised for big raises as restricted free agents this summer.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Rare goal in overtime loss
Strome scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets.
Strome tied it 1-1 at 3:35 of the second period from the slot after a backhanded pass from Ryan Poehling. It was Strome's first goal since Nov. 19, a span of 12 games. The 32-year-old is coming off three consecutive 41-point seasons, but he has just six points (two goals, four assists) and 21 shots in 16 contests this season. He's best left on the wire.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Adds two assists in win
Strome notched two assists, five shots on net, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Strome snapped a six-game point drought with the effort. He had been scratched in the Ducks' first two contests in December, and that could continue to happen on occasion while the team's forward group is fully healthy. Strome has a goal, four assists, 19 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 11 appearances this season, though he's averaging just 12:51 of ice time, a career-low mark.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Strikes on power play
Strome scored a power-play goal on four shots in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Bruins.
Strome has started his season well since he recovered from an upper-body injury. The 32-year-old has earned three points (one goal, two assists) over his first four contests, and he's added eight shots on net and a plus-1 rating. Strome should have an easy path to third-line minutes as long as both Mikael Granlund (lower body) and Ryan Poehling (upper body) are out of the lineup.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Pockets helper in season debut
Strome produced an assist in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Red Wings.
Making his season debut after recovering from an upper-body injury, Strome helped set up a Mikael Granlund tally early in the third period that proved to be Anaheim's last flicker of offense. Strome had delivered more than 40 points in six straight seasons coming into 2025-26, but the emergence of young players like Leo Carlsson has pushed the veteran center into a bottom-six role and off the top power-play unit, which will make it difficult for him to keep that streak going.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Set for season debut
Strome (upper body) will be in the lineup against the Red Wings on Thursday, Alyson Lozoff on TNT reports.
Strome will be making his season debut for the Ducks after missing the first 16 games due to his upper-body injury. While the veteran center has been a lock for the 40-point threshold in recent years -- he's achieved that mark in six straight campaigns -- missing nearly a quarter of the season could see him dip below 40 points for the first time since 2018-19, when he was limited to just 63 regular-season games.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Still out Tuesday
Strome (upper body) remains on the shelf against the Avs on Tuesday despite his activation from IR, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Strome was taken off injured reserve Sunday, but he still hasn't gotten back into the lineup for the Ducks. While the 32-year-old center has notched 41 points in three straight seasons, this extended absence to open the season will likely prevent him from hitting that mark in 2025-26. Even once given the all-clear, Strome may not be able to unseat Leo Carlsson or Mason McTavish for a spot in the top six.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Removed from IR
Strome (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday, per the NHL media site.
Anaheim moved Radko Gudas (lower body) to the IR list in a corresponding move. After missing 14 games, Strome will be available to make his season debut against Winnipeg on Sunday. He had 10 goals, 41 points, 137 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and 52 hits across 82 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Participating in practice
Strome (upper body) joined the team at Tuesday's morning skate, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.
Cavanagh noted that this is the first time Strome has practiced since the start of the campaign. The veteran forward has yet to play in 2025-26 and is on injured reserve due to his upper-body injury. Head coach Joel Quenneville recently said that Strome isn't too far off from a return to the lineup, but the 32-year-old will likely need a few more practices to work his way back toward game shape. Strome should slot into a middle-six role once he's given the green light to return to the lineup. The 2011 first-round selection had 10 goals and 41 points across 82 games last season.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Placed on IR
Strome (upper body) was designated for injured reserve Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Strome has already been ruled out for the Ducks' first two games of the year, so it shouldn't be a shock to see him placed on injured reserve. The 32-year-old center has logged exactly 41 points in each of his previous three seasons, making that a fairly good bet as to where he might end up in 2025-26, assuming his injury doesn't linger too long.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Dealing with upper-body injury
Strome (upper body) will miss Anaheim's first two games, the team announced Wednesday.
That rules Strome out for the Ducks' road clashes in Seattle on Thursday and San Jose on Saturday. The 32-year-old had 10 goals, 41 points and 70 PIM in 82 regular-season outings with Anaheim in 2024-25. Due to Strome's absence, Beckett Sennecke will likely make his NHL debut against the Kraken on Thursday in a top-six spot.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Lends assist
Strome managed an assist and two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.
Strome helped out on a Frank Vatrano tally late in the third period to spark the Ducks' comeback. The goal drought is now at 18 games for Strome, and he's added just five assists, 23 shots on net and 30 PIM in that span. For the season, the veteran center is at 41 points through 78 games, matching his total from each of the last two campaigns. He's tacked on 131 shots on net, 48 hits, 70 PIM and a minus-3 rating.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Bags apple in loss
Strome logged an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Flames.
Strome is still in a 15-game goal drought, and he's been limited to four assists, 20 shots and 16 PIM in that span. The 31-year-old hasn't lost his top-six role, but he's gotten to be too risky for most fantasy formats if he can't contribute offense more consistently. The center is up to 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists), 128 shots on net, 56 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 75 outings this season.

Ducks' Ryan Strome: Logs helper Tuesday
Strome registered an assist and five shots on goal in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Capitals.
Strome ended a three-game slump when he helped out on a Frank Vatrano tally in the third period. The 31-year-old Strome has seven points over his last nine outings as he continues to log top-six minutes. For the season, the playmaking center is at 10 goals, 27 helpers, 115 shots on net, 46 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 64 appearances.
