  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Third straight win

Vasilevskiy made 31 saves in a 3-1 win over the Blues on Tuesday. Pavel Buchnevich was the only member of the Blues that lit the lamp. He converted a back door pass from Robert Thomas on an extended shift in the zone. Vasilevskiy has now won three straight games and is 15-9-1 on the season. But the pressure on him remains -- the team doesn't have a reliable back-up and at some point, that will come back to haunt them. Monitor Vasilevskiy's workload carefully. If things don't change, you may need a contingency to address exhaustion.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Facing Blues

Vasilevskiy will tend the twine at home versus the Blues on Thursday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports. Vasilevskiy has allowed 11 goals over his last five games, winning four of them. He'll look to keep things rolling Thursday against a Blues team that has scored just 14 goals over the last six contests, winning just two of them.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Fourth win in last five starts

Vasilevskiy made 28 saves in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. The game was tighter than the score; the Bolts scored into an empty net to seal the win. Vasilevskiy has won two straight and four of his last five, and he now sits with a 14-9-1 record, 2.44 GAA and .910 save percentage. We love his game, but we don't love his lack of a safety net, and both the Bolts and fantasy managers may eventually pay for that. Vasilevskiy has started 24 of the Bolts' 29 games, in large part because the team doesn't trust backup Jonas Johansson. The team needs to do something to ensure Vasy isn't exhausted by this workload.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Exits ice first Tuesday

Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off the ice Tuesday, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports, indicating he'll tend the twine at home against Columbus. Vasilevskiy comes into Tuesday's matchup with some extra rest after getting the night off versus the Kraken on Saturday. In his last five outings, the 30-year-old backstop went 3-2-0 with a 2.45 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Even with his recent inconsistencies. Vasilevskiy should continue to see the majority of the start for the Lightning ahead of Jonas Johansson.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Plenty of help in win

Vasilevskiy stopped 19 of 22 shots in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Flames. Vasilevskiy wasn't great in this game, but he didn't have to be behind another massive showing from his offense. This was the third time in the last eight contests the Lightning have put up an eight-spot. Vasilevskiy is now 13-9-1 with a 2.41 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 23 appearances. This was his fifth start in a row, and he hasn't played in more than that many consecutive games this year. It's possible Jonas Johansson will be called upon for the Lightning's road-trip finale Saturday in Seattle, though the team has not officially announced its plans one way or the other.

The Flames are 26th in league scoring, averaging 2.59 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Loses in unfortunate fashion

Vasilevskiy stopped 23 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Oilers. The 30-year-old Russian netminder couldn't do anything to deny Connor McDavid's first-period goal, and Vasilevskiy was a victim of an unfortunate situation in the sequence that led to the game-winning goal in the second period. He denied a breakaway attempt from Leon Draisaitl, but when Vasilevskiy tapped the puck away, it ricocheted off Victor Hedman's leg to give the Oilers a 2-1 lead. Despite the loss, Vasilevskiy had another strong showing, and he's now posted a save percentage of at least .920 in each of his last three starts. Over his last 10 games, the 30-year-old has gone 6-4-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .910 save percentage.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Tough night against talented Leafs

Vasilevskiy made 24 saves in a 5-3 loss to Toronto on Saturday. He allowed four goals. Vasy had the deck stacked against him with Auston Matthews (upper body) and Matthew Knies (upper body) both returning from injury. Adding those talented big bodies to a lineup that had won four of its past five games was a recipe for a tough, uphill battle for even the greatest goalies. It was Vasilevskiy's second straight loss, but he's still 10-8-1 with a 2.50 GAA and a .907 save percentage.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Healthy scratch Friday

Vasilevskiy is a healthy scratch for Friday's road tilt against Nashville, per Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com. Jonas Johansson is starting for the Lightning while Matt Tomkins, who was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Friday, is the backup netminder. That allows Vasilevskiy to take the day off entirely. The 30-year-old Vasilevskiy will likely start in Saturday's home game against Toronto.

Vasilevskiy made 27 saves in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Capitals. • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Tough third period leads to loss

Vasilevskiy made 24 saves in a 4-2 loss to the Stars on Saturday. The game was knotted 2-2 until the 6:55 mark of the third, but the Stars got two in 58 seconds on two separate rushes, and they never looked back. Vasilevskiy came into the match on a three-game winning streak, but even the best can't win them all. The Bolts have four games next week with three against strong teams (Avs, Caps, Preds and Leafs). It'll be a good test for Vasilevskiy, who has been one of the NHL's best goalies this season.
