Devils' Erik Haula: Strikes early in loss
Haula scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Penguins.
Haula has a goal and an assist over his last two games after going five contests without a point. The 34-year-old forward continues to occupy a top-six role, though his production is more in line with a depth forward. He's now at 10 goals, 19 points, 104 shots on net, 99 hits, 39 PIM and a minus-7 rating across 66 appearances.

Devils' Erik Haula: Picks up helper Tuesday
Haula notched an assist in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Bruins.
Haula got on the scoresheet against one of his former teams, setting up a Timo Meier tally in the second period. This snapped a five-game drought for Haula, who has been in a second-line role in recent weeks. The 34-year-old has had a down year on offense with 18 points, 102 shots on net, 98 hits, 39 PIM and a minus-7 rating across 65 appearances after earning at least 35 points in each of the previous three campaigns.

Devils' Erik Haula: Goal streak at three games
Haula scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Haula scored for the third game in a row, and he has six points over his last seven outings. A larger role at even strength has helped him find more success -- he was on the top line alongside Nico Hischier for Monday's game. Haula is up to nine goals, 17 points, 97 shots on net, 87 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 59 contests this season. He won't be anywhere near his point total from recent campaigns, but he's finishing strong and shouldn't be ignored in fantasy as long as he's on the top line.

Devils' Erik Haula: Tallies again in loss
Haula scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Haula scored with 23 seconds left in the third period, but the Devils didn't have a second late goal in them to force overtime. The 33-year-old is up to five points over his last six games, a span that includes three of his eight goals this season. The Finn is at 16 points, 95 shots on net, 87 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 58 appearances. He's in danger of missing the 20-point mark for the first time since 2018-19, an injury-riddled season for Vegas in which he was limited to 15 games.

Devils' Erik Haula: Scores in Thursday's loss
Haula scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Flames.
Haula has two goals and two assists over his last five outings. The 33-year-old was in a brutal slump for much of the middle of the campaign, failing to record a point between Nov. 27 and March 7. The forward's lack of production has seen him reduced to a bottom-six role, where he has accumulated 15 points, 93 shots on net, 86 hits and a minus-9 rating over 57 appearances this season. Things are looking up with his recent play, so Haula may be worth streaming at times in the fantasy playoffs.

Devils' Erik Haula: First points since November
Haula generated a goal and a power-play assist while going plus-2 in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Flyers.
Haula gave the Devils a 2-0 lead at 5:39 of the middle frame and set up Dawson Mercer's empty-net goal on the power play late in the third. This was Haula's first time on the scoresheet since Nov. 25, though he missed 12 games from Jan. 6 - Feb. 2 with an ankle injury. It was also just his second multi-point effort of the campaign. For the season, the 33-year-old has chipped in six goals and seven helpers while serving mostly in a middle-six capacity over 53 appearances.

Devils' Erik Haula: Activated from IR
Haula (ankle) was activated from injured reserve ahead of Tuesday's game versus Pittsburgh.
New Jersey returned Brian Halonen to AHL Utica in a corresponding move. Haula will occupy a top-six role following a 12-game absence. He has registered five goals, 11 points, 72 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and 67 hits through 42 appearances this season.

Devils' Erik Haula: Working toward return
Haula (ankle) could be an option versus Pittsburgh on Tuesday with head coach Sheldon Keefe telling reporters, "Practice today was more forecasting the rest of the week. We'll see. He got a good workout in and pushed himself quite hard. We'll see where he's at," Sam Kasan of the Devils' official site reports.
Haula practiced in a second-line role at Monday's practice, a good indication he'll be given the all-clear ahead of Tuesday's contest. Prior to his absence, the Finn was stuck in an 18-game goal drought during which he chipped in 32 shots, 30 hits and 10 PIM while averaging 14:06 of ice time. In order to play Tuesday, Haula will need to be activated off injured reserve.

Devils' Erik Haula: Not playing Sunday
Haula (ankle) will travel with the Devils but will not play Sunday in Buffalo, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Haula is getting close to a return, but he will miss his 12th consecutive game. The 33-year-old has only five goals and 11 points in 42 games this season and will be hard-pressed to hit the 25-point mark, even if he remains healthy the rest of the season.

Devils' Erik Haula: Remains day-to-day
Haula (ankle) is still considered day-to-day but won't be in the lineup against the Flyers on Wednesday, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe didn't have a real update on Haula, so it's unclear when he might be ready to return to action despite still being classified as day-to-day. In fact, the 33-year-old center will now miss his 11th consecutive game, which certainly doesn't speak to him truly being day-to-day. With Nico Hischier (upper body) also on the shelf, the Devils are suddenly very thin down the middle of their roster.

Devils' Erik Haula: Resumes skating
Head coach Sheldon Keefe relayed that Haula (ankle) is skating on his own but does not have a timetable to return, Catherine Bogart of the Devils' official site reports.
Haula was placed on injured reserve Friday -- the left-shot center hasn't suited up since Jan. 4 in San Jose. The 33-year-old will need to ramp up his activity level and join the team at practice before he becomes a candidate to re-enter the lineup. Haula has recorded five goals and 11 points through 42 appearances in 2024-25.

Devils' Erik Haula: On injured reserve
Haula (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Haula hasn't played since Jan. 4, so he can be activated whenever he's healthy. Putting him on IR likely had less to do with his timetable and was instead done to enable the corresponding move of Colton White's recall from AHL Utica. Haula has five goals, 11 points, 29 PIM and 67 hits in 42 outings in 2024-25.

Devils' Erik Haula: Could miss several weeks
Head coach Sheldon Keefe said Monday that Haula could miss a few weeks due to a sprained ankle, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Haula was absent from Sunday's morning skate due to an ankle injury, and Keefe said later in the day that the 33-year-old would miss some time. Haula was initially labeled as day-to-day, but Keefe's comments Monday suggest that the center is closer to week-to-week after being diagnosed with a sprain. Justin Dowling will likely see time in the lineup during Haula's absence.

Devils' Erik Haula: Set to miss time
Head coach Sheldon Keefe said Sunday that Haula (ankle) "will miss some time," Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Haula was absent from Sunday's morning skate due to an ankle injury, and the Devils labeled him as day-to-day while undergoing further testing. He's set to undergo an MRI on Sunday, and while the results aren't yet known, it appears as though he'll miss some game action. Justin Dowling is a candidate to enter the lineup while Haula is sidelined.

Devils' Erik Haula: Considered day-to-day
Haula didn't participate in Sunday's morning skate due to an ankle injury, and he's considered day-to-day while undergoing further testing.
Haula dealt with an undisclosed injury in early December, but he wasn't forced to miss any time, and he's appeared in each of the Devils' first 42 games of the season. The 33-year-old has recorded five goals, six assists, 67 hits and 29 PIM while averaging 14:27 of ice time, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Monday's game against the Kraken.

Devils' Erik Haula: Ready to rock
Haula (undisclosed) will be in the lineup Friday against Seattle, Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News reports.
Haula was a no-show at practice Tuesday, leading to some speculation that he would be unable to play against the Kraken, but head coach Sheldon Keefe said Friday that Haula was good to go. Haula has five goals, six assists, 46 shots on goal and 44 hits across 28 games this season. He will line up on the third line alongside Tomas Tatar and Dawson Mercer, and he should also see power-play time with the second unit.

Devils' Erik Haula: Undergoing evaluation
Haula wasn't able to practice Tuesday and is being evaluated for an undisclosed injury, per Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe did not rule Haula out for Friday's game against Seattle. The 33-year-old has not missed a game this season, and through 28 outings, Haula has chipped in five goals and six assists. The Finnish forward should be considered day-to-day.
