  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Scores goal in return

Verhaeghe scored a goal on five shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Predators. Verhaeghe tallied at 16:26 of the first period to open the scoring. The 30-year-old missed the Panthers' last game as he welcomed his baby into the world. He's now earned three goals and four assists over his last four appearances, giving him five goals, 17 points, 62 shots on net, 24 hits and a minus-3 rating in 25 outings overall. Verhaeghe should be a regular in the top-six going forward.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Rejoins team

Verhaeghe (personal) was on the ice ahead of Thursday's matchup with Nashville, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports. Verhaeghe will return following a one-game absence while on paternity leave. Prior to his absence, the 30-year-old forward was in the midst of a hot streak, scoring two goals and four assists in his last three games. Verhaeghe figures to slot into a top-six role and should link up with one of the two power-play units.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Not playing Tuesday

Verhaeghe (personal) is not in the Panthers' lineup on Tuesday versus the Maple Leafs, Mark Masters of TSN reports. Verhaeghe's wife is expecting a baby, and he'll be away from the team for at least one game to be with his growing family. Jack Studnicka will draw into the lineup in a bottom-six role, but Mackie Samoskevich and A.J. Greer are likely to get the biggest boosts in ice time.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort Wednesday

Verhaeghe produced a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Flyers. The 30-year-old went 18 games to begin the season without delivering a multi-point performance, but Verhaeghe seems to be getting into a groove in the back half of November. Over the last five contests, he's struck for multiple points three times, amassing two goals and seven points in total.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Three points Monday

Verhaeghe had one goal, two assists, a plus-4 rating, two shots on goal and two hits in Monday's 8-3 win over the Predators. Verhaeghe was everywhere for the Panthers, and he made his presence felt early on by assisting A.J. Greer on the opening goal just 11 seconds into the game. Verhaeghe would later add two more contributions in the third period, making it his second multi-point game of the season. Both have come in his last four games, so the 30-year-old might be thawing after a cold start to the season. Verhaeghe has 13 points in 22 games in 2025-26, and with only three goals in that span, his streak of four consecutive regular seasons with at least 20 goals looks to be in jeopardy.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two helpers against Canucks

Verhaeghe pocketed two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 8-5 win over Vancouver. It was the first multi-point performance of the campaign for Verhaeghe, who seems to be snapping out of his early-season slump. The 30-year-old hasn't found the back of the net since Oct. 21, but over 10 games in November, he's collected seven helpers with 22 shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-1 rating.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Chips in with assist

Verhaeghe dished out an assist, fired five shots on goal and provided two hits in Saturday's 3-0 win against Vegas. One of Verhaeghe's best all-around performances of the season was highlighted by a primary helper on Sam Reinhart's game-winning goal in the first period. Verhaeghe now has two assists, four points and 28 shots on goal through 10 games this season. It's an encouraging sign to see Verhaghe post two points in his last three games, as Florida will need to get him going with top-line center Aleksander Barkov (knee) done for the season. If his slow start continues, however, stronger options might rise above Verhaeghe in fantasy. For now, it is best to exercise patience with the winger, as he has posted 50-plus points in each of the past three seasons.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Snaps drought with game-winner

Verhaeghe scored a goal and took two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Bruins. Verhaeghe snapped a four-game pointless streak with his goal, and it couldn't have come at a better time since he buried the game-winner with 26 seconds left in the third period. It was the second goal for Verhaeghe this season, and with only three points through eight games, he's clearly having a slow start to the campaign.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Gets first goal of season

Verhaeghe scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-2 win over Chicago. Verhaeghe gave Florida a 2-1 lead at 14:08 of the first period while on the power play. He wired the puck over Spencer Knight's right shoulder, who was scrambling to get in position after wandering out to play the puck. Verhaeghe delivered just 53 regular-season points last year after two straight 70-plus campaigns. However, he's also one of just six active NHLers to win three Stanley Cups. With the team missing key forwards because of injuries, Verhaeghe will be one of the players looked to for extra offense. That's a great opportunity for managers who got him a few rounds lower than expected based on last year's output.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Elite club with third Cup win

Verhaeghe delivered three assists in a 5-1 win over the Oilers in Game 6 on Tuesday to help clinch the Stanley Cup. Verhaeghe became a member of an exclusive group when he hoisted his third Stanley Cup. He is one of just six active NHLers to have claimed the Cup that many times. The others? Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Quick. That's heady territory for a guy the Maple Leafs traded away for Michael Grabner before his first full pro season with the team. Verhaeghe finished the postseason in a three-way tie for the team lead in scoring with 23 points in as many games.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Collects assist in Game 4 loss

Verhaeghe posted an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Verhaeghe extended his point streak to five games (two goals, five assists) when he set up an Anton Lundell tally in the first period. The 29-year-old Verhaeghe continues to see top-six minutes, and he's been very good lately after ending the second round in poor form. The winger has 20 points, 49 shots on net, 55 hits and a plus-6 rating across 21 playoff outings.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two points including Game 3 winner

Verhaeghe scored the game-winning goal on the power play and added an even-strength assist Monday in the Panthers' 6-1 win over the Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The 29-year-old wired the puck past Stuart Skinner from the faceoff dot late in the first period, giving Florida a 2-0 lead that the team would never relinquish. It was Verhaeghe's first goal of the series and his seventh of the playoffs, four of which have come with the man advantage. Through 21 postseason contests, he's piled up 20 points, 54 hits and 47 shots on net.

Verhaeghe notched two assists and two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Verhaeghe helped out on both of Sam Bennett's tallies in the contest. With two goals and six assists over his last six games, Verhaeghe is performing at a high level in the latter rounds of the playoffs. He's at a total of six goals, 10 helpers, 40 shots on net, 50 hits and a plus-4 rating across 18 postseason contests.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Scores game-winner

Verhaeghe scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 5. Verhaeghe's third-period tally was the game-winner and series-clincher, sending the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Finals for the third year in a row. He put up six points over five contests versus the Hurricanes in this series. Verhaeghe is at six goals, 14 points, 38 shots on net, 48 hits and a plus-4 rating across 17 playoff outings, a level of performance that's become expected of him in the postseason.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Trio of assists in Game 2 win

Verhaeghe had three assists in a 5-0 win over the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday. He and Sam Bennett continue to pour on the pressure, and the Canes have had no response. The two men are tied with Eetu Luostarinen for the team lead in scoring with 13 points in 14 games. Verhaeghe appeared on Conn Smythe ballots in 2024, and at this rate, he'll see that again.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort in Tuesday's win

Verhaeghe delivered a goal and an assist Tuesday, both on the power play, in the Panthers' 5-2 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The 29-year-old opened the scoring midway through the first period before helping to set up a Sam Bennett tally early in the third that put Florida up 4-1. Verhaeghe didn't get onto the scoresheet in the final three games of the Panthers' second-round series against the Maple Leafs, but he's had a productive postseason overall with five goals and 11 points in 14 contests, including three goals and five points with the man advantage.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Stays warm with power-play goal

Verhaeghe scored a power-play goal on two shots in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4. Verhaeghe has looked like himself in this second-round series, racking up two goals and five points over four contests. The winger is at four goals, four helpers, three power-play points, 23 shots on net, 36 hits and a plus-1 rating over nine playoff outings. He was on the second line to begin Sunday's game, but Verhaeghe could be moved back up to the top line for Game 5 on Wednesday after Evan Rodrigues (upper body) suffered an injury.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two points, seven hits in Game 3

Verhaeghe notched a goal, an assist, three shots and seven hits in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 3. The 29-year-old forward has been playing at a high level and has recorded points in four of his last five playoff appearances, tallying three goals, three assists, 14 shots, 30 hits and two blocked shots over that stretch. Even though the likes of Aleksander Barkov, Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk gain most of the attention from opposing defenses, Verhaeghe has been doing a good job of late, especially since his regular-season numbers took a hit compared to his previous two campaigns.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Puts away empty-netter

Verhaeghe scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added five hits in Monday's 4-2 win over the Lightning in Game 4. The Panthers scored three times in the final four minutes of the contest, with Verhaeghe putting the finishing touches on the win. The 29-year-old winger has managed two points, nine shots on net, 10 hits and an even plus-minus rating over four playoff outings. He continues to play on the top line and appears to have carried over some momentum from late in the regular season, which he closed out with six points over five games.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Picks up helper in win

Verhaeghe notched an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Lightning in Game 1. Verhaeghe helped out on a go-ahead goal by Sam Reinhart late in the first period. The 29-year-old Verhaeghe is turning things around with at least one point in six straight games (three goals, four assists). He had a mediocre regular season of 20 goals and 53 points in 81 appearances, a drop of 19 points compared to 2023-24. He's still logging top-line minutes to begin the playoffs, which puts him in a position to rack up plenty of offense.
