The defenseman has 10 points (six on the power play), 26 shots on net, 16 hits, nine blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 15 appearances.

Gostisbehere notched two power-play assists in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Bruins. Gostisbehere helped out on first-period tallies by Martin Necas and Andrei Svechnikov. With three helpers over his last two contests, Gostisbehere remains hot on offense, particularly the power play. The 31-year-old blueliner has nine points (five on the power play), 22 shots on net, 12 hits, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating through nine contests this season. While he's a bit of a power-play specialist, the Hurricanes have also given him an average of 18:48 of ice time -- that's enough work for him to be a fairly consistent scorer for much of the campaign.

He is up to four goals, three assists, 21 shots on net, 11 hits, eight PIM and a plus-2 rating over eight appearances this season. He's averaging 18:50 of ice time per game, including 3:45 on the power play, where he has scored three of his four goals.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Keeps scoring streak alive

Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers. Gostisbehere has been on a roll to start the season and has found the back of the net in four straight games, including three power-play tallies in a row, though this was his first multi-point effort. Gostisbehere's scoring streak should end sooner rather than later, but there's no doubt he's been one of the most productive blue-liners in the first two weeks of the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Scores PP goal Saturday

Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Blues. Gostisbehere has scored in three games in a row, and surprisingly, the defenseman has been one of the Hurricanes' most reliable contributors on offense in the early stages of the campaign. The fact that his last two goals have come on the power play is certainly noteworthy, and while the season is in its early stages, it wouldn't be surprising if the 31-year-old hits the 10-goal mark for the fourth time in five seasons.

Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Penguins. The blueliner has found the back of the net in back-to-back games after opening his account in the 4-2 win over the Devils on Tuesday. This power-play goal provided some much-needed insurance for Carolina in the final stages of the second period while providing the Canes a 3-1 lead. Gostisbehere scored a goal on six shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Devils. Gostisbehere has a goal, nine shots, three hits and two blocked shots over two contests. The defenseman is seeing top-four minutes to begin the season, as well as playing a large role on the power play. Gostisbehere is regarded as a power-play specialist after earning 29 of his 56 points with the man advantage last season. If he can click with his teammates in his second stint with the Hurricanes, he'll make for an excellent source of power-play production and shots on net for fantasy managers.

Gostisbehere scored the game-winning goal in overtime of Friday's 2-1 exhibition win against Tampa Bay. Gostisbehere produced 56 points in 81 regular-season games with Detroit in 2023-24, the second-best statistical season of his career. As a result, the 31-year-old was rewarded with a three-year contract from Carolina on July 1. Gostisbehere could push for a spot on the team's top power-play unit -- the left-shot blueliner racked up 29 points on the man advantage last season.

He's a great asset on the power play, supplying two goals and 29 points with the man advantage last season. Gostisbehere will probably be limited to a third-pairing role at even strength, but Carolina is expected to take advantage of his abilities on the power play.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: Two helpers in regular-season finale

Gostisbehere registered six shots on goal and two assists in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Canadiens. He was the primary distributor on Joe Veleno's second-period goal, and Gostisbehere found David Perron for the game-tying tally with just five seconds remaining in regulation. The Red Wings earned the win they desperately needed, but the Capitals defeating the Flyers minutes beforehand caused the Wings to fall just short of a playoff berth. Gostisbehere ended up with 10 goals, 46 assists and a whopping 29 power-play points through 81 games in his debut campaign in Detroit. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: Registers two power-play helpers

Gostisbehere supplied a pair of power-play assists in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Panthers. Gostisbehere needed a game like this after being held without a point in his previous three contests, and the Red Wings are really hoping for a strong finish from the puck-moving defenseman since the team currently is two points away from the Flyers for the second wild-card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Ghost has 10 goals and 39 assists to complement 27 power-play points and 67 blocked shots through 73 games. His minus-17 rating is a bit of an eyesore, but then again, he's best known for the offense he provides, and there's been plenty of that in 2023-24.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: No signs of slowing down

Gostisbehere has an active six-game point streak comprised of a goal and five assists. The Red Wings have just two wins through Gostisbehere's hot streak, but the puck-moving defenseman is setting up goals with aplomb. Ghost has 36 helpers, including 25 on the power play, as a nice complement to 10 goals through 68 games. The Wings utilize him on the third defensive pair, though he's still averaging 19:04 of ice time with 3:26 of that taking place on the man advantage. It will be interesting to see what's next for Gostisbehere since he's cashing out the balance of a one-year, $4.25 million deal with Detroit and set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: Unselfish play continues

Gostisbehere recorded an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sabres. Detroit just put an end to a seven-game losing streak, but nobody should be pointing fingers at Gostisbehere since he earned a goal and five assists over that stretch. The 30-year-old blueliner has 10 goals and 34 assists through 66 games, including a whopping 24 points on the power play. With the Red Wings' chances for a playoff berth at 28.2 percent, they're going to need sustained production from their premier blueliners like Gostisbehere and 2022 Calder Trophy winner Moritz Seider, who also pitched in a helper during the latest contest.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: Hits 10-goal mark

Gostisbehere scored a goal on two shots and blocked four shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights. Over the last nine games, Gostisbehere has three goals and five assists. The 30-year-old blueliner is up to 10 tallies, 41 points, 113 shots on net, 59 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 63 appearances. He's got a solid chance of reaching the 50-point mark for the third time in his career if he can sustain his recent scoring pace.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: Lights lamp twice

Gostisbehere potted a pair of even-strength goals, one of them the game-winner, in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Capitals. Gostisbehere tied a season high with five shots on goal, and the point-packing defenseman made good on opportunities in the first and second periods. Remember, Detroit barely channeled any offense through its defensemen under former GM Ken Holland, but with franchise legend Steve Yzerman rejoining the team as GM in 2019 and laying the foundation for a rebuild, the Wings have three blueliners with 20-plus points this season, including Jake Walman and Moritz Seider. Gostisbehere leads the trio with nine goals and 29 assists through 58 games.

Gostisbehere registered a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Flames. Held without a point in his previous six contests, Gostisbehere reemerged with a secondary man-advantage apple that culminated in a Dylan Larkin tip-in tally. Ghost hasn't vanished from the box score too often this season, as he's up to seven goals and 26 assists. Supreme passing skills have resulted in 19 of his 21 man-advantage points being assists this campaign.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: On par with elite blueliner

Gostisbehere delivered a power-play assist in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes. Gostisbehere has 24 assists and 31 points through 44 games, which mirrors the running totals set forth by Pittsburgh's stud blueliner Erik Karlsson. For the sake of comparison, Ghost likely remains the more cost-effective option between the two. After all, it's not often you see a blueliner cross 100 points (25 goals, 76 assists) like Karlsson did with the Sharks last year, but fantasy managers shouldn't put a ton of stock in the recency bias. Gostisbehere is more than holding his own in his debut campaign for the Winged Wheel.

The puck-moving defenseman now has 30 points (seven goals, 23 assists) through 43 games, with only 13 others at the position currently sitting at a higher offensive total. Detroit boasts a seven-game point streak with Gostisbehere being a key catalyst for the recent success.

  • Red Wings' Shayne Gostisbehere: Delivers power-play assist in win

Gostisbehere had a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Kings. Gostisbehere set the stage for a Dylan Larkin goal, which would be the first of four tallies for the Wings in the second period. A whopping 58 percent of Ghost's points this season have taken place on the man advantage, and he's up to seven goals and 22 assists overall. A rough defensive stretch spilling into the new year is heavily factored into his minus-16 rating, so he's best utilized in formats that don't value that statistic.
