Pierre-Edouard Bellemare: Dropped by Avs
Rotowire
Bellemare was released from his professional tryout with Colorado on Thursday.
Bellemare previously spent two seasons with the Avalanche, recording 18 goals, 15 assists and 239 shots in 122 outings. A veteran of 10 NHL campaigns, the 39-year-old Bellemare may have to settle for a minor-league-only deal or make the move to Europe for the upcoming season if he wants to extend his career. Still, with 700 games of NHL experience, Bellemare could still have some suitors around the league.
Bellemare will join the Avalanche on a professional tryout agreement, RDS.ca reports Wednesday.
Bellemare returns to Colorado after three seasons away, having logged 122 regular-season appearances and notched 18 goals and 15 assists with the Avs over two years. At this point in his career, Bellemare shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value given his limited offensive upside and the fact that he may periodically serve as a healthy scratch -- especially once Gabriel Landeskog (knee) and Valeri Nichushkin (suspension) return to the lineup.

Kraken's Pierre-Edouard Bellemare: Getting back up to speed
Rotowire
Bellemare notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.
This was Bellemare's third straight game in the lineup. The Kraken's center depth was thinned out after Alexander Wennberg was traded to the Rangers at the deadline, opening the door for Bellemare to reclaim his spot on the fourth line. The 39-year-old defensive center has six points, 27 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 32 appearances. While he's been playing more recently, he's unlikely to generate enough offense to be considered in fantasy.

Rotowire
Bellemare scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Bellemare was initially credited with a first-period tally, but it later went to Kailer Yamamoto. The 38-year-old center has four goals, one assist, 25 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 27 appearances in a fourth-line role this season. Bellemare's long been a mainly defensive presence, so he's unlikely to score his way into the fantasy mix.

Bellemare scored his fifth career postseason goal against the Leafs in Game 1 on Tuesday.
Bellemare ended his 20-game goal drought in the regular season with his fifth career playoff goal. Considering the veteran center failed to register a shot in four of his last five regular-season contests, fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting Bellemare to produce in the offensive end with any sort of consistency.
