Raddysh has delivered points (one goal, three assists) in three consecutive games, and he has five points, including four helpers, in 10 games this season. He's an inconsistent producer, but he did put up 33 points in 82 games in 2023-24. Raddysh has potential, but this surge could easily become a slide in very short order. And his category coverage is weak (six blocks, two hits, 12 shots). Use him in daily if you need to fill a seat, but don't over-invest.

The Lightning have opted to dress seven defensemen over the last two games, which has helped Raddysh get in the lineup after being scratched for seven of the previous nine contests. Raddysh will get his looks since he continues to see power-play time despite a bottom-four role at even strength. The defenseman was a surprise last year when he produced six goals and 33 points in 82 regular-season appearances. It wouldn't be a shock to see him regress closer to the 25-point mark in 2024-25 unless he's able to secure more consistent ice time.

Raddysh missed the final two games in Tampa Bay's six-game series loss to Florida in the opening round of the 2024 playoffs. Raddysh played in all 82 regular-season contests last year, picking up six goals and 33 points, including a goal and six assists on the power play. Raddysh will likely be a third-pairing blueliner for the Lightning once again in 2024-25.

Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Ends season on injured list
Raddysh was dealing with a hip pointer when the Bolts were eliminated from the postseason, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports Wednesday.
Raddysh was out of the lineup for Tampa Bay's final two contests due to his hip injury. Unless the 28-year-old Toronto native requires surgery, he should be ready to play when training camp opens in the fall. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer, so Raddysh may not be back with the Lightning in 2024-25.

The 27-year-old defender entered the game with a single goal (April 5) in 60 career NHL games. Raddysh's first put the Bolts up 1-0 early in the second, popping in a rebound with a backhander from in front of the net. And his second was a wraparound less than three minutes later. Raddysh isn't an offensive type, but he deserved every accolade for Thursday's effort.

Raddysh signed a two-year, $1.95 million contract extension with the Lightning on Wednesday.
Raddysh still has one season remaining on his existing two-year, $1.525 million contract, so he's now signed with Tampa Bay through 2025-26. He had a goal and three points in 17 contests with the big club last season. The 27-year-old also contributed 13 goals and 51 points in 50 AHL outings with Syracuse. He drove down the right side and Matthew Knies failed to stay with him, instead choosing to bail and go back toward the point as Raddysh went hard around the net. The Leafs coverage broke down, leaving Raddysh free as he wrapped around the net, and he wired a hard shot past Ilya Samsonov. It was his first playoff goal.

Raddysh got a lot of help from the stick of Rangers defenseman Braden Schneider in front, but a goal's a goal. His marker was originally credited to Brandon Hagel, but further review determined that Schneider accidentally tipped the puck in without Hagel touching it. Raddysh is on a roll, as his first NHL points came in Tampa Bay's previous game, when the 27-year-old blueliner had two assists against the Islanders in his 16th NHL appearance.
