Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Tallies again Tuesday
Sanheim scored a goal on two shots and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.
Sanheim is off to a strong start to January, scoring in consecutive games for the first time this season. The defenseman is up to five goals, 14 assists, 54 shots on net, 78 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating across 41 appearances on the campaign. Sanheim should do better than his eight-goal, 30-point effort from 2024-25 and could challenge for the second 40-point season of his career.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pots goal in win
Sanheim scored a goal on two shots and blocked five shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.
The Flyers brought their best, and Sanheim was able to contribute by ending his five-game goal drought. The 29-year-old defenseman is up to four goals, 18 points, 52 shots on net, 77 blocked shots, 25 hits and a plus-4 rating over 40 appearances this season. He's on pace to miss the 40-point mark for the second year in a row since reaching it with 44 points in 2023-24, but his all-around contributions make him a viable depth blueliner in deeper fantasy formats.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Good to go Sunday
Sanheim will be available to play against Seattle on Sunday after being pulled from Tuesday's 3-1 win over Chicago by a concussion spotter, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Sanheim was a full participant in Saturday's practice, and it seems as though he was probably fine after Tuesday's game. In any event, he won't miss additional time due to the issue. Sanheim has generated three goals, 16 points, 47 shots on net, 65 blocked shots and 23 hits across 36 appearances this season.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pulled by concussion spotter
Sanheim was removed from Tuesday's game versus the Blackhawks by the concussion spotter, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Sanheim was shaken up after a hit in the third period, but head coach Rick Tocchet indicated the defenseman is likely fine. Still, fantasy managers will want to double-check that Sanheim has been cleared prior to Sunday's game versus the Kraken.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Rare power-play goal
Sanheim scored a goal and added an assist Saturday in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Rangers.
Sanheim's goal came on the power play; it was his first goal with the man advantage since he put up two in 2018-19. He isn't known for his offense per se, but he did put up 44 points, including 10 goals, in 2023-24. At this point, Sanheim is on pace for 38 points, 63 blocks and 106 shots this season. That may be the perfect fit for the bottom of your lineup in deep formats.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Contributes two assists
Sanheim notched two assists, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Sanheim earned his first multi-point effort since Oct. 13 versus the Panthers. Over the last seven games, Sanheim has collected four assists with a minus-1 rating. The 29-year-old blueliner plays a key all-situations role for the Flyers and is up to 11 points, 34 shots on net, 49 blocked shots and 18 hits over 26 appearances. While he gets plenty of ice time, his defensive duties will often get in the way of him shining on offense, which limits his effectiveness in fantasy.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Scores game-winner Thursday
Sanheim scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues. He also added four shots on goal and two blocked shots.
The four shots were a season-high mark for the 29-year-old blueliner, who came through at the 3:51 mark of extra time to give the Flyers a comeback win. This was Sanheim's first goal since the second game of the season, a 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes on Oct. 11.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Garners assist in shootout win
Sanheim logged an assist in Friday's 6-5 shootout win over the Blues.
Sanheim started the year positively, but this was just his second helper in the last 13 games. The 29-year-old blueliner isn't at risk of losing playing time -- he's far too important in the defensive zone for that to happen. He's managed six points, 20 shots on net, 34 blocked shots, 13 hits and a minus-1 rating over 17 appearances on the year.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pockets two helpers in win
Sanheim recorded two assists, one shot on net, one blocked shot and a plus-4 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.
The 29-year-old continues to come through in a big way on the Flyers' patchwork blue line, as the team is currently missing regulars Cam York (lower body) and Rasmus Ristolainen (triceps) as well as top prospect Oliver Bonk (upper body). Sanheim has a goal and three points through the first three games of the season while averaging a massive 27:15 TOI, but his minutes and role will shrink once the roster gets healthier.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Forces overtime Saturday
Sanheim scored a goal on two shots and blocked four shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Sanheim has played monster minutes early in the season, averaging 28:25 per game to begin 2025-26. He's added three shots on net and six blocked shots. It looks like head coach Rick Tocchet will lean on Sanheim heavily and give him power-play time as well. Sanheim's offense dipped from 44 points in 2023-24 to 30 points last year, but he's in position for a bounce-back campaign if the Flyers' offense cooperates.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pair of points in win
Sanheim scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-4 in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Rangers.
This was Sanheim's first multi-point effort since Dec. 7 in Boston. The defenseman has been limited to three points over 21 games since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, though he's added 26 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in that span. He hasn't seen much of a bump on offense and hasn't gained power-play time since the Flyers fired head coach John Tortorella in late March. Sanheim's at 30 points, 129 shots on net, 164 blocks, 77 hits and a minus-5 rating over 78 appearances, but the lack of steady offense recently is a red flag for fantasy.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Breaks slump with goal
Sanheim scored a goal on two shots, blocked three shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Blackhawks.
Sanheim ended a 14-game point drought with his first-period goal, which tied the game at 2-2. The 28-year-old had struggled after his time with Team Canada for the 4 Nations Face-Off, but it hasn't cost him ice time for the Flyers. He's now at seven goals, 28 points, 120 shots on net, 153 blocked shots, 69 hits and a minus-15 rating across 72 appearances. Sanheim is in a top-four role and should be able to reach the 30-point mark for the fourth time in his eight-year career.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Scoreless streak extends
Sanheim did not register a point and was held to one shot on goal in 22:51 of ice time in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Sanheim is the No. 1 defenseman on the Flyers, but it's been a tough go recently. The 28-year-old has just three points over his last 14 games and none since returning from the 4 Nations Face-Off. Perhaps most concerning is the return of Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) and the skill set of Jamie Drysdale being better suited for the power play, who combined have left no room for Sanheim on the Flyers' power play, limiting his chances for future offensive contributions.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Ends slump with helper
Sanheim recorded an assist, seven hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Utah.
Sanheim had gone eight games without a point entering Tuesday, and he had a minus-10 rating with just six hits in that span. The defenseman doled out some physicality and also got back on the scoresheet to put an end to his slump, which has not cost him his top-four spot. The 28-year-old blueliner is now at six goals, 19 helpers, 100 shots on net, 51 hits, 119 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 55 appearances. His heavy defensive usage can take a toll on his scoring, but he often sees time in all situations.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Notches helper in win
Sanheim logged an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Ducks.
Sanheim helped out on a Ryan Poehling tally in the third period. The helper ended a five-game slump for Sanheim, though he has been limited to two assists over his last 11 outings. The 28-year-old defenseman is still seeing top-four minutes, so he should have ample opportunities to turn things around. He has 22 points, 81 shots on net, 36 hits, 96 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 43 contests.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Manages assist
Sanheim logged an assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Kings.
Sanheim helped out on a Tyson Foerster tally in the first period. The assist ended a four-game point drought for Sanheim, which was his worst slump since he opened the season with no points over five outings. The 28-year-old defenseman is up to 21 points, 74 shots on net, 80 blocked shots, 26 PIM, 25 hits and a plus-3 rating over 37 appearances. Since he does enough in the non-scoring areas, Sanheim's lack of offense recently has not endangered his top-four status.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Lights lamp in loss
Sanheim scored a goal, blocked three shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Wild.
Sanheim scored for the first time since Nov. 16 versus the Sabres. Over the 12 games between goals, he had seven assists, 25 shots on net and 32 blocked shots. The 28-year-old blueliner continues to be the Flyers' most important all-around defenseman, though his power-play role tends to come and go depending on who else is in the lineup. Sanheim is up to six goals, 19 points, 69 shots on net, 74 blocks, 20 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 31 appearances.
