Wild's Dominic Turgeon: Latches on with Minnesota
Turgeon signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old forward had just 13 points in 31 contests with AHL Grand Rapids last year. He's made nine NHL appearances for the Red Wings, but none since 2018-19, and it's unlikely he'll make a breakthrough with the Wild this year.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Lands one-year extension
Turgeon signed a one-year contract extension with Detroit on Monday.
Turgeon failed to get into an NHL game this season, instead spending the entire campaign in the minors with AHL Grand Rapids. In 63 games with the Griffins, the 24-year-old garnered 10 goals and 13 helpers. While Turgeon should get a shot at a roster spot in training camp, he is far from a lock for the 23-man Opening Night roster.

The 23-year-old center didn't fare much better in the AHL, notching a mere 20 points in 72 appearances. Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Ascends to big club
The Red Wings recalled Turgeon from AHL Grand Rapids on Sunday.
With an assortment of injuries to Detroit's forward corps, Turgeon will jump to the NHL for the first time this season. He hasn't been tearing it up in the minors with just 19 points through 69 games, so he'll likely slot into the bottom six with Detroit.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Ticketed to AHL
Turgeon was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Sunday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
Turgeon required two surgeries to address a blood clot in his right arm, but he worked hard over the summer to get into shape for the preseason. Through four exhibition contests, Turgeon produced one goal (a game-winner shorthanded) on seven shots. He'll be a call-up candidate this season when injuries hit the parent club up front.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Full recovery expected after multiple surgeries
Turgeon required two surgeries in response to a diagnosis of thoracic outlet syndrome (blood clot) in his right arm, though he's expected to make a full recovery.
This is great news for Turgeon, who reportedly was treated by the same doctor that addressed Lightning superstar Steven Stamkos' own blood-clot condition two years ago. A touted center prospect for the Red Wings, Turgeon is said to need blood thinners "for a few months," but the 22-year-old -- who appeared in five NHL games for his debut season with the Red Wings in 2017-18 -- should be ready by the time training camp rolls around. He should be eager to get going after this recent malady and having produced 14 goals, 18 assists and a plus-13 rating through 69 games with AHL Grand Rapids.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Out indefinitely for blood-clot treatment
Turgeon is facing an indefinite absence after being treated for thoracic outlet syndrome, which led to a blood clot in his right arm, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
The good news for the Red Wings prospect is that this isn't a career-threatening condition. Turgeon, whom the Red Wings selected with a 2014 third-round (63rd overall) draft pick, appeared in five NHL games this season, adding three hits and eight blocked shots in January.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Returns to minors during All-Star break
Turgeon was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Friday.
While hockey fans are treated to the NHL's All-Star Weekend festivities, Turgeon heads back to the Wings' top development affiliate with a home game against the Rockford IceHogs on tap Friday. The rookie's impact on the big stage has been negligible from a fantasy perspective since he's skated to a minus-2 rating with zero points through five games.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Comes back to Detroit
Turgeon was summoned to the Red Wings via AHL Grand Rapids on Wednesday.
In a cap-saving move, Turgeon will trade places with David Booth. However, this only concerns the team's fourth line or its press box attendees, and you won't see fantasy owners flocking to the fantasy waiver wire to pick up a guy who's only averaged 9:37 through his first four NHL games.

Red Wings' Dominic Turgeon: Returns to top development affiliate
Turgeon was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
Not much was expected of Turgeon during a four-game stint with the Wings, but he still managed eight blocked shots over 9:37 of average ice time in that span. This shouldn't be viewed as a performance demotion, as the rookie was merely patching up the forward depth with Darren Helm and Justin Abdelkder recently tending to lower-body injuries and Luke Glendening hampered by a hand ailment. At least one of those guys should return for Tuesday's home game against the Flyers.
