After tying the game at 3-3 late in the second period, Kempe caught the Jackets napping on a change in the extra frame, giving him a wide-open look at Jet Greaves that he cashed in. The 29-year-old struck twice in the first period to give the Kings a 2-0 lead before feeding Quinton Byfield for the OT winner. Kings' Adrian Kempe: First multi-goal game of season
Kempe scored twice in a 2-1 win over the Lightning on Thursday.
Both goals came in the second period. Kempe's first came in the second period when he skated into the offensive zone and beat Andrei Vasilevskiy with a wrist shot from distance. Kempe's second came after he intercepted a Lightning pass in his own zone and took off, ultimately scoring on a short breakaway with a nifty backhand deke around Vasilevskiy's left pad. It was Kempe's first multi-goal game of the season. He has 13 goals, 17 assists and 99 shots in 34 games, and he's on pace for his third consecutive 70-plus point season.

Kempe scored a goal, distributed an assist and picked up two PIM in Monday's 4-2 win over Utah.
Kempe lit the lamp for the Kings' first goal of the contest just under eight minutes into the opening period. He later had the primary helper on Anze Kopitar's game-winning tally. With the pair of points, Kempe is up to 10 goals, 16 assists, 87 shots on net and 56 hits through 29 games this season. The 29-year-old forward has put the offensive dry spell he experienced late in November behind him with six points in his last five games. He continues to lead Los Angeles in points, and his strong category coverage gives him a high ceiling in fantasy this season. Look for Kempe to contend for his third consecutive season scoring 70-plus points.

Kempe scored the game-winning goal, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Canucks.
Kempe set up Anze Kopitar in the first period for the opening goal, then closed out the scoring himself at 3:58 of overtime. Kempe entered Saturday with no multi-point efforts since Oct. 23 versus the Stars. The winger had been limited to one goal over his last six games as well, so this was a big performance to break out of the slump.
