Montour scored a power-play goal on two shots and went minus-2 in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Lightning.
Montour struck just 4:24 into the game for the opening goal, but the Lightning had a 2-1 lead less than nine minutes later. The goal was Montour's first since he scored in three straight games from Nov. 20-25. The defenseman is up to eight goals, 20 points (five on the power play), 93 shots on net, 40 hits, 34 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 31 appearances this season. Vince Dunn has been on fire since he returned from an upper-body injury, so Montour is likely to remain on the second power-play unit for the time being.

Montour has a goal in three straight games for the first time in his career. The 30-year-old defenseman scored just 24 seconds after Andre Burakovsky tied the contest at 1-1 early in the third period, and Montour's tally was the game-winner. He has four points during his current streak, giving him seven goals, 15 points, 69 shots on net, 32 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 21 appearances in his first year with the Kraken. He's in position to challenge for a 60-point campaign, a mark he's reached just once back in 2022-23 with the Panthers when he had 73 points over 80 regular-season outings.

Montour missed Thursday's 4-1 loss to Toronto to attend the birth of his daughter. The 30-year-old blueliner has accumulated four goals, nine points, 33 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 19 hits through 10 appearances this season. Montour is off to a great start with the Kraken after inking a seven-year, $49.98 million contract in the offseason. He has four goals and five assists in 10 games.
