Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Tending twine Tuesday
Gustavsson will be between the home pipes against the Mammoth on Tuesday, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.
Gustavsson has won back-to-back outings and is 5-1-0 with a 2.30 GAA and a .922 save percentage since the beginning of February. The Wild should have the upper hand Tuesday, as they have been off since Sunday, while the Mammoth are on the second half of a back-to-back after losing 3-2 in overtime in Chicago on Monday. Gustavsson faced Utah in the first month of the season, conceding five goals on 40 shots in a 6-2 home loss Oct. 25.

Gustavsson stopped 29 of 31 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights.

He's given up just six goals on 124 shots in those contests as he continues to strengthen his grip on the No. 1 job between the pipes for the Wild. Gustavsson improved to 23-10-6 with a 2.53 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 40 appearances. The Wild have another tough matchup ahead as they're set to visit the Avalanche on Sunday. Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Tending twine in Vegas
Gustavsson will protect the road goal versus the Golden Knights on Friday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson has five wins in his last six NHL games. He's posted a .927 save percentage in that span as well. The Wild look to be leaning on Gustavsson at this point, putting him firmly ahead of Jesper Wallstedt on the depth chart. This is a tough matchup, but Gustavsson's recent play suggests he can keep the Wild in it against anyone.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Sharp against Lightning
Gustavsson stopped 24 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Lightning.
The game was close through two periods, and Gustavsson did his job while the Wild worked to build a lead. The lone goal against was a second-period tally by Nikita Kucherov. Gustavsson has won five of his last six games, allowing two or fewer goals in four of those outings. He's now at a 22-10-6 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 39 appearances this season. Gustavsson has started three of the Wild's fourth games since the Olympics, suggesting he will get a majority of the workload as the team competes for its positioning in the Central Division. The Wild's next game is Friday in Vegas.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Takes close loss
Gustavsson stopped 21 of 23 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Blues. The third goal was an empty-netter.
Gustavsson couldn't keep the game tied late in the third period, with Pavel Buchnevich scoring the winner with 3:39 to go. This performance ended Gustavsson's four-game winning streak, though it was still a decent effort. He's now at a 21-10-6 record with a 2.58 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 38 appearances. The Wild have alternated goalies at times but weren't doing so in January, so it remains to be seen if Gustavsson will claim a majority of the starts over Jesper Wallstedt as the team looks to solidify its place in the standings.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Set for backup duties
Gustavsson (illness) is expected to back up Jesper Wallstedt for Friday's road game versus the Mammoth, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson was ill Thursday but still put in a good performance to earn the win. He has a 21-9-6 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 37 outings this season. While he's on the bench Friday, Gustavsson is the Wild's more experienced goalie and may take a slight majority of the playing time moving forward.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Leaves game late
Gustavsson exited Thursday's game versus the Avalanche late in the third period after getting ill in his crease, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Prior to his exit, Gustavsson stopped 44 of 45 shots in what was ultimately a winning effort. It's all the more impressive that he was able to play that well at less than 100 percent health. The goalie will likely be on the bench Friday versus the Mammoth, as Jesper Wallstedt seems likely to get the nod in the second half of a back-to-back set.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Falls to Finland
Gustavsson stopped 20 of 23 shots in Sweden's 4-1 loss to Finland on Friday in Olympic round-robin action, with Finland's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
The 27-year-old netminder got outplayed by Juuse Saros in the other crease, but Gustavsson also didn't get a lot of support, as Sweden's only goal was scored by Rasmus Dahlin on a second-period power play. After allowing five goals on 45 shots in his first two Olympic outings, Gustavsson will get a breather Saturday against Slovakia, with Jacob Markstrom or Jesper Wallstedt expected to be between the pipes.

Gustavsson made 20 saves in Sweden's 5-2 win over Italy in Olympic round-robin play Wednesday.

Contrary to a previous report, Gustavsson is expected to start for Sweden against Italy on Wednesday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, per Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press.
Jacob Markstrom initially looked like he would get the start, but it now seems he'll serve as the understudy. Gustavsson will patrol the crease on the road against Nashville on Wednesday, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson is undefeated in regulation over his last eight outings, posting a 5-0-2 record, 2.94 GAA and .894 save percentage. With his decent run of games of late, the backstop has a decent chance of being named the starter for Sweden ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Hangs on for comeback win
Gustavsson turned aside 17 of 20 shots on goal in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.
Even after giving up three consecutive goals, one in each period, Gustavsson defended well when it mattered most, allowing the Wild to score the game-tying goal in the third before Kirill Kaprizov lasered the game-winner in overtime. With the win, Gustavsson now holds a 19-9-6 record, a 2.58 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 35 appearances this season. The 27-year-old goaltender has managed to earn the Wild at least one point in each of his last six starts with a 5-0-1 record despite posting numbers below his season average in that span. If he could play a tad sharper, similar to his 13-game span with a 10-1-2 record that he posted from No.v 16 to Jan. 2, he could elevate his fantasy value to the next level behind an elite Minnesota offense. With Jesper Wallstedt (illness) missing Monday's game, Gustavsson has a strong chance to draw his second consecutive start in Wednesday's road clash against the Predators.
