Canucks' Filip Hronek: Earns helper in 400th game
Hronek posted an assist, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
Hronek got on the scoresheet in his 400th career game, helping out on a Jake DeBrusk tally. The 27-year-old Hronek has earned 208 points over parts of seven seasons. He's off to a bit of a slow start in 2024-25, logging three assists, 12 shots on net, 23 hits, 10 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-7 rating over 10 contests. That said, Hronek offers decent category coverage in a top-pairing role, so he's in a good spot to turn his offense up.

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Garners assist Tuesday
Hronek logged an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Hronek hasn't stood out much to begin 2024-25, logging just two assists (one on the power play) over six contests. The defenseman has partially made up for the lack of offense with 14 hits, 10 blocked shots, nine shots on net, six PIM and a plus-4 rating to provide decent category coverage outside of offense. Hronek is locked in as a top-pairing defenseman, and he also plays on the second power-play unit, so his scoring should pick up.

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Pockets power-play helper
Hronek logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Flames.
Hronek set up Daniel Sprong for the opening goal at 9:40 of the first period. The 26-year-old Hronek had a career year with 48 points (11 on the power play) and a plus-33 rating in 81 regular-season appearances last season, which earned him an eight-year contract in June. While he doesn't have the offensive upside of his defense partner Quinn Hughes, Hronek offers decent category coverage for fantasy and enough offense to be rostered in standard formats thanks to his spot on the second power-play unit.

Canucks' Filip Hronek: First playoff goal not enough
Hronek scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.
Hronek earned his first career playoff tally late in the third period, but the Canucks couldn't follow it up with an equalizer. The 26-year-old defenseman was limited to two points, 13 shots on net, 25 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 13 postseason appearances in his first taste of playoff action. Hronek will be a restricted free agent this summer -- the only skater on the Canucks' roster with that status -- so getting him signed will likely be a top priority for general manager Patrik Allvin.

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Contributes assist in win
Hronek notched an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Predators in Game 1.
Hronek ended the regular season on a four-game slump before resting for the finale. The 26-year-old defenseman had a career-high 48 points over 81 appearances, but just 19 of those points came over his last 45 outings as his offense faded a bit in the second half. He's still been a solid partner for captain Quinn Hughes on the top pairing, so Hronek's ice time should be steady in the playoffs.

Hronek managed an assist and four hits in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Kings.
Hronek has a helper in three of the last four contests after going without a point in 10 straight games during much of March. Hronek earned an assist, fired three shots on goal and blocked two shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Ducks.
Hronek has a goal and two assists over his last four games. The defenseman was briefly dropped off the top pairing for the Canucks, but he's since returned to that role alongside Quinn Hughes, which has been fruitful for both blueliners. Hronek has easily secured a career year with 45 points, 121 shots on net, 65 hits, 63 blocked shots and a plus-32 rating over 63 appearances while also seeing time on the second power-play unit. Canucks' Filip Hronek: Three-point effort Saturday
Hronek scored a goal and added two assists in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings.
All of Vancouver's scoring came in the second period, as the 26-year-old blueliner set up Nils Hoglander and Elias Pettersson in addition to potting his own tally. It was an impressive return to Detroit for Hronek, who spent the first four-plus seasons of his career with the Red Wings before being traded last March. Saturday's performance snapped a nine-game point drought for Hronek, but overall he's enjoying a breakout campaign in his first full season with the Canucks -- his 39 points have already tied his previous career high.

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Adds two helpers to reach 30
Hronek supplied two assists to complement a plus-4 rating in Monday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
Hronek is enjoying the best of his six-year career, as he's cashed in on two goals and 30 assists. There's never been any question about Hronek's talent in terms of moving the puck, but he's truly firing on all cylinders after seemingly trying to do too much in Detroit between the previous five seasons. For extra perspective, consider that Hronek is tied for eighth in blueliner points, mirroring the total of Buffalo's elite rearguard Rasmus Dahlin.
