  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Nets game-winner Monday

Aho scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks. Aho came through when the Hurricanes needed him the most, as the star playmaker notched the game-winning goal less than a minute into overtime following setups from Shayne Gostisbehere and Martin Necas. Aho hasn't set the world on fire with his numbers this season, but he's been remarkably consistent, notching at least one point in six of his last seven contests.

  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Scores game-winning goal Tuesday

Aho scored the game-winning goal and also added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers. Aho was the Hurricanes' hero Tuesday, as he scored the game-winning goal with only seven seconds left in overtime with a rocket from the right faceoff circle. He's now had multi-point performances in back-to-back games, and he's also cracked the scoresheet in four straight outings, racking up two goals and four assists in what has been a very productive stretch for the 27-year-old winger.

  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Keeps point streak alive

Aho delivered two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Blues. Aho has just one goal through four outings this season despite attempting 10 shots, and while that's a disappointing outcome for the star forward, he's making up for that lack of goals in the assists department, where he has three over his last two appearances. Aho has scored at least 35 goals in each of the last three seasons, however, so he should bounce back sooner rather than later, especially since he holds a top-line role for the Hurricanes both at even strength and on the power play. He'll aim to extend his three-game point streak Tuesday against the Oilers.

  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Deposits empty-netter

Aho scored an empty-net goal on three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Devils. Aho has a goal, five shots on net, two hits and two blocked shots over two appearances. The center was held off the scoresheet in the season opener versus the Lightning, but it's rare for Aho to go through extended droughts. The 27-year-old has exceeded 80 points in two of the last three years and has a decent chance of reaching that mark again as the Hurricanes' top forward in 2024-25.
