  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Plates trio of helpers Saturday

Aho distributed three assists and recorded two hits in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Jersey. Aho was the primary helper on all three of Andrei Svechnikov's goals in Saturday's lopsided win. With the trio of apples, Aho is up to 33 assists, 50 points, 113 shots on net and 43 hits through 49 appearances this season. The 28-year-old center has orchestrated Carolina's offense this season, ranking in the top 25 across the NHL in points. He has seven assists in his last four games and has excelled in a top-line role flanked by Svechnikov and Seth Jarvis. The Hurricanes became the first team in the Eastern Conference to win 30 games this season and have shown no signs of slowing down, which gives Aho great fantasy value moving forward.

It's a cooldown after he logged 16 points in nine contests between Dec. 17 and Jan. 3. The star center is at 17 goals, 30 assists, 113 shots on net, 41 hits, 30 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 48 outings this season as a fixture on the Hurricanes' top line.

Aho scored twice on three shots, added three assists, logged two PIM and doled out two hits in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Canadiens. The first-line center is up to 16 goals, 40 points, 91 shots on net, 36 hits and a plus-2 rating over 40 appearances. Aho can produce at a point-per-game pace at his best, and he remains pretty consistent for the Hurricanes.

He potted the eventual game-winner on the power play 2:43 into the third period, then set up a Seth Jarvis goal before adding an empty-netter himself. Aho is usually among the Hurricanes' most consistent forwards -- he rarely has a drought as long as his most recent one. None of his slumps in 2024-25 were longer than three games. The center is at 11 goals, 29 points (seven on the power play), 81 shots on net, 28 hits and a plus-5 rating across 33 appearances.

He also set up the team's final goal with an assist on Charles-Alexis Legault's empty-netter late in the third period. Aho has failed to record a point only twice through 14 games. • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Nets goal Monday

Aho scored a goal, took three shots and recorded two hits in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights. Aho has been sensational for the Hurricanes so far this season. This might have been only his second goal, with both coming in the team's last three games, but he's on a six-game point streak. The 28-year-old playmaker has eight points during that streak, and he should continue to be a driving force on offense for Carolina as long as he stays healthy. He also has 15 shots, 10 hits and three blocked shots in that six-game stretch.

The goal was Aho's first of the season to go with five assists, nine shots on net, four hits and a plus-2 rating through four games. The top-line center is among the most consistent players in the league and should hover around a point-per-game pace or better in 2025-26.

Aho also managed 4:51 of ice time with the man advantage Thursday, so he should have plenty of opportunities to rack up points in 2025-26.

He's signed through 2031-32, so look for the 27-year-old to once again center the Hurricanes' top line next season.
