Guhle underwent appendix surgery Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in seven days, according to RDS.ca. • Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Pens six-year deal

Guhle inked a six-year, $33.3 million contract with Montreal on Wednesday. Guhle put together a solid 2023-24 campaign for the Habs in which he set new personal bests in games played (70), goals (six), assists (16) and hits (116). While the young blueliner can offer decent fantasy value in certain formats that value hits and blocks, his offensive upside is limited -- in part due to his lack of power-play ice time. Still, Guhle figures to continue logging big minutes in 2024-25 while serving on the top pairing with Mike Matheson.
