Lundell (illness) won't play against Italy on Saturday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Lundell will miss at least one game, and his roommate, Oliver Kapanen, won't be in the lineup, either. However, it's unclear if Kapanen is also feeling under the weather. The 24-year-old Lundell has one goal in two games for Finland at the tournament.

Panthers' Anton Lundell: Comes up big in return Wednesday
Lundell scored a shorthanded goal and added two power-play assists in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
All three points came in the second period, and when that scoring outburst wasn't enough to win the game for the Panthers, Lundell kicked off the shootout by slipping a backhand past Joonas Korpisalo. Lundell had missed the prior three games with an upper-body injury, but he looked fully fit in his return. The 24-year-old center has three goals and eight points in his last 10 appearances, and he'll get one more game Thursday against the Lightning to add to those numbers before joining Team Finland for the Olympics.

Panthers' Anton Lundell: Slated to play Wednesday
Lundell (upper body) is expected back in the lineup against the Bruins on Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Lundell is set to rejoin the lineup following a three-game stint on the shelf due to his upper-body problem. Prior to his absence, the 24-year-old forward was mired in a five-game goal drought during which he contributed one assist, 12 shots and eight hits while averaging 17:52 of ice time.

Lundell recorded the primary assist on Uvis Balinskis' game-winning goal in the second period before scoring on an empty net near the end of the third period. Overall, the 24-year-old Lundell is up to 15 goals, 20 assists, 106 shots on net, 55 hits and 29 blocks through 47 games this season. Following a cold stretch to start the calendar year, the young center is gaining traction offensively with four points in as many games.
