While the Sabres' winning streak ended, Doan was able to find the twine for the second game in a row. The 24-year-old was actually fairly quiet during the 10-game heater, earning a modest six points in that span. He's now at 12 goals, 27 points, 99 shots on net, 35 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 40 appearances. Doan remains an intriguing depth winger in fantasy since he continues to see time in the top six and on the first power-play unit.

Sabres' Josh Doan: Scores, assists Wednesday
Doan scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
Doan evened things up for the Sabres with a goal at the 7:44 mark of the second period, and he later assisted in the first of Tage Thompson's two goals. Doan remains a productive player for the Sabres, as he's racked up 11 goals and 15 assists so far. More importantly, this two-point performance ended a four-game pointless skid for the 24-year-old winger.

Sabres' Josh Doan: Distributes helper Saturday
Doan tallied an assist and placed two shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders.
Doan slid the primary helper on his linemate Tage Thompson's goal midway through the second period. With the helper, Doan is up to 14 assists, 24 points, 87 shots on net and 30 hits through 34 games this season. While he's already set career highs in most of the major stat categories offensively, he moved just one shot shy of tying the 88 shots on goal he had through 51 games a season ago. The 23-year-old forward is in a fantastic spot to continue to produce points on the Sabres' top line. His breakout campaign is just getting started, leaving him with plenty of opportunities to secure a new contract with Buffalo once his current deal expires at the end of the 2025-26 season. Doan is on pace for 58 points this season if he can stay healthy, giving him solid value in most fantasy leagues for the rest of the year.

Doan tallied in the first and second periods to help the Sabres build a 3-0 lead. Sabres' Josh Doan: Pair of helpers Monday
Doan distributed two assists and recorded a shot on goal in Monday's 5-1 win over Winnipeg.
Doan slid the primary helper on Jason Zucker's power-play goal to open the scoresheet and helped Alex Tuch score the team's fourth goal. With the pair of apples, Doan is up to 10 assists, 18 points, 67 shots on goal and 26 hits through 26 games this season. The 23-year-old winger is already just one point away from surpassing his total of 19 through 51 regular-season games with Utah a year ago. He's played in an increased role this season while bouncing around Buffalo's lines, and he's currently skating middle-six minutes alongside Tuch. Doan has half of his points in the last 10 games and is heating up with three multi-point performances in that stretch. The Sabres have themselves a rising star in Doan, who has the potential to take off down the stretch if he sees another increase in playing time to his current role. He is a valuable add in deep leagues and could be a sneaky waiver-wire target in standard formats if his high-level play continues.

Sabres' Josh Doan: Flipped to Buffalo
Doan and Michael Kesselring were traded to the Sabres from the Mammoth on Wednesday in exchange for JJ Peterka, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Doan grew into a third-line role late in the 2024-25 campaign, ending with 19 points in 51 appearances. Both Doan and Peterka are 23-year-old wingers, but Doan provides a bit more grit and will likely be a middle-six option for the Sabres to begin 2025-26. He'll be a low-end fantasy option in standard formats with sleeper potential if he is able to claim a top-six job.
