Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Manages two helpers in loss
Pettersson notched two assists in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.
Pettersson helped out on first-period tallies by Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood. This was Pettersson's third multi-point effort in his last six games, a span in which he's collected four goals and four assists. The center is up to six goals, seven helpers, 39 shots on net, 27 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 18 appearances. He'll be the centerpiece of the Canucks' offense for as long as J.T. Miller (personal) is away from the team.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Another power-play tally Sunday
Pettersson scored a power-play goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.
Pettersson scored on the power play for the second game in a row. His goal gave the Canucks a short-lived 2-1 lead in the middle of the second period. Pettersson is rolling with five goals and two assists over his last seven contests, a level of offense his fantasy managers are more familiar with from the talented center. Overall, he has six goals, five assists, 38 shots on net, 27 hits and 23 blocked shots through 17 appearances.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Strikes on power play in win
Pettersson scored a power-play goal on three shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks.
In the second period, Pettersson took a shot that deflected in off Connor Murphy's skate to tie the game at 1-1. After getting few bounces to go his way in October, Pettersson's luck looks to be turning around, partly thanks to an increased shot volume in November. The veteran center has five tallies, 10 points (four on the power play), 36 shots on net, 26 hits, 21 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 16 appearances in his usual top-six role with time in all situations.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Earns two points on birthday
Pettersson scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, blocked four shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Flames.
Pettersson turned 26 on Tuesday, and he celebrated with his second multi-point effort in a row. His goal was a power-play tally to tie the game at 1-1 in the second period, and he also set up Erik Brannstrom's goal in the third. Pettersson is up to four goals, five assists, three power-play points, 27 shots on net, 22 hits, 19 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 14 outings. He's still working his way back to an elite level of scoring, but he's starting to reward fantasy managers who were patient with him.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Two points in Saturday's loss
Pettersson scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Oilers.
Pettersson had one of his better games of the year, but the rest of the Canucks didn't follow suit. The 25-year-old has three points over his last three contests, which perhaps signals him getting back to a high level of offense. He's struggled with three goals, four assists, 24 shots on net, 21 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 13 appearances this season.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Tips in tally
Pettersson scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
The Canucks' third goal belonged to Quinn Hughes for a while, but it was eventually changed to Pettersson. That ended a three-game point drought for Pettersson, who is still struggling to find consistency on offense. He's at a mere five points with 21 shots on net, 16 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 11 appearances this season, though he remains in a top-six role.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Sparks comeback with goal
Pettersson scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Pettersson's goal was the first of three by the Canucks in a span of 1:05, turning a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead. The center has a goal and two assists during his three-game point streak, though he still isn't looking particularly explosive on offense. He's at four points, 11 shots on net, 12 hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through seven outings this season.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Wobbly start continues
Pettersson picked up an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over Philadephia.
Pettersson is off to a disappointing start, contributing two assists and no goals through five appearances. It's convenient to hang his slow start on the hangover from his lucrative contract extension, but Pettersson hasn't scored an even-strength goal in 30 games, dating back to the 2024 playoffs. He has logged 450:29 of even-strength time on ice in that span, recording just 32 shots. The Canucks, and fantasy managers, need more from him.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Offers power-play helper
Pettersson notched a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Flames.
Pettersson helped out on the first of Brock Boeser's two goals in the game. Last season, Pettersson earned 31 of his 89 points on the power play, so it figures to remain a large part of his production in 2024-25. The Swedish center added 125 hits, 68 blocked shots and 207 shots on net in 2023-24, with the added physical play helping to offset some of his step back on offense from a 102-point campaign in 2022-23.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Deals pair of helpers
Pettersson registered two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-1 preseason win over the Oilers.
Pettersson helped out on a Carson Soucy tally in the first period as well as Jake DeBrusk's empty-netter in the third. Entering 2024-25, Pettersson is expected to be a major contributor for the Canucks. His 2023-24 was a tale of two halves -- he produced 64 points in 49 appearances before the All-Star break, then stumbled to the finish line with just 31 points over 46 outings between the regular season and playoffs after the schedule resumed. Fantasy managers plopping down a second-round pick for the 25-year-old will hope that he is consistently closer to his first-half performance in 2024-25, especially after he flashed 100-point potential in 2022-23.

Pettersson recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Pettersson has earned two helpers in the last two games but still hasn't been living up to expectations offensively during the playoffs. Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Snags helper
Pettersson recorded an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5.
Pettersson was held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, and he nearly came up empty Thursday as well. The 25-year-old was able to contribute the secondary helper on J.T. Miller's game-winning goal in the final minute of the contest. Pettersson has underwhelmed this postseason with a goal, four assists, 18 shots on net, 22 hits and a minus-1 rating over 11 appearances. He shifted to the wing Thursday, and Elias Lindholm moved up to center the second line.

Pettersson scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Pettersson opened the scoring at 4:14 of the first period. The tally was his first since April 10, and he managed just four helpers and 13 shots on net over the 10 contests between goals. Pettersson is at four points, 13 shots on net and 16 hits through eight postseason appearances, which is not great production from a top-six center who posted 34 goals and 89 points in the regular season.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Ready to rock for Game 1
Pettersson (illness) will play Wednesday in Game 1 versus the Oilers, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Pettersson should slot into his usual spots on the second line and first power-play unit Wednesday. The 25-year-old pivot was a bit pedestrian in the first round against the Predators, picking up just three helpers across six outings after racking up 34 goals and 89 points through 82 regular-season contests.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Under the weather
Pettersson isn't practicing Tuesday due to an illness, leaving his status for Wednesday's Game 1 versus Edmonton in doubt, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
After racking up 34 goals and 89 points through 82 regular-season outings, Pettersson was a bit of a disappointment during Vancouver's first-round series win over the Predators, picking up three helpers while firing just eight shots on net through six contests. Another update on his status for Game 1 will likely surface following Wednesday's morning skate.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Snags assist Friday
Pettersson logged an assist in Friday's 1-0 win over the Predators in Game 6.
Pettersson failed to score a goal in the first round, and he's now gone nine contests without a tally. He showed some life with an assist in three of the last four games, but the Canucks will hope for a lot more from one of their top players entering a more difficult second-round matchup with the Oilers. In addition to the three assists, Pettersson had eight shots on net, nine hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over six appearances in the first round.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Picks up helper in overtime win
Pettersson notched an assist in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Predators in Game 4.
Pettersson helped out on Brock Boeser's game-tying goal with eight seconds left in the third period. The 25-year-old Pettersson has a helper in each of the last two contests. He's added six hits, five blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over four playoff outings -- struggles that have seen him lose ice time to J.T. Miller in the top six. Pettersson remains in a position to put offense on the board, but he needs to start cashing in a bit more to be useful to fantasy managers in playoff competitions.
