Stars' Roope Hintz: On pace for another 30-goal year
Hintz scored a power-play goal Saturday in a 4-2 win over Tampa Bay.
It was a beauty goal. Hintz skated through the neutral zone with speed, blew past Erik Cernak, and wired the puck blocker side past Andrei Vasilevskiy on a breakaway. Hintz has three points, including two goals, in his last two games. He may have only 13 points in 19 games this season, but his eight goals put him on pace for his fourth consecutive 30-goal campaign.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Scores in win over San Jose
Hintz scored an empty-net goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.
Hintz, who scored one of the Stars' two empty-netters in this game, has scored seven goals and tallied 12 points in his 18 appearances this season. However, he hasn't been very consistent on a game-to-game basis. Even though his role in the lineup will give the 28-year-old plenty of opportunities to produce, his current haul has been subpar compared to the numbers he's posted in recent years.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Scores in win over Boston
Hintz scored a goal in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Bruins.
Hintz has found the back of the net in two of the Stars' last three games and is on his way to ending the slump affecting him over the last few weeks. He's up to 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 15 games this season, and although he should continue to have plenty of opportunities to keep producing as a top-six forward in one of the league's best offenses, more consistency on a game-to-game basis would undoubtedly boost his fantasy upside.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Spoils shutout and ends slump
Hintz scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Jets.
Hintz tallied with 1:22 left in the contest to prevent Connor Hellebuyck from earning a third straight shutout. The goal was Hintz's first since Oct. 24 -- he went four games without a point, including both contests in his native country of Finland last weekend against the Panthers. The 27-year-old is at five goals, nine points, 30 shots on net, 10 hits and a minus-1 rating through 13 appearances in a somewhat modest start to 2024-25.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Scores empty-netter in 400th game
Hintz scored an empty-net goal on four shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Bruins.
Hintz played in his 400th career game Thursday, and he capped it off with an empty-netter. The center has been steady in his usual top-line role so far, earning four goals, four assists, 18 shots on net, seven hits and a plus-1 rating over eight contests. Hintz will continue to see time in all situations, and while he may not finish at a point-per-game pace, he's likely to be close to that rate of production.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Three-point effort in win
Hintz scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
The only Dallas goal Hintz didn't have a hand in was Matt Duchene's game-winner midway through the third period. Hintz has reached the 30-goal plateau in three straight seasons, and he doesn't appear as though he'll have any trouble making it four straight in 2024-25, racking up three goals and seven points in the first six contests.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Nets tying goal
Hintz scored a goal on four shots and added four hits in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks.
Hintz didn't feature in the scoring during back-to-back shutout wins over the weekend, but he was able to finish off a passing play late in the second period to tie the game at 2-2. The top-line center has three points, eight shots on net and a plus-2 rating through four contests this season. He continues to play a key role for the Stars, but the depth of the team's offense means they won't lean on him to contribute all the time.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Two points in Thursday's win
Hintz scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Predators.
Hintz scored at 2:05 of the first period and set up a Jason Robertson goal just 19 seconds later. The 27-year-old Hintz remains the Stars' top-line center to begin 2024-25, and while he won't have Joe Pavelski on his line anymore, he clicked with Logan Stankoven in the season opener. Wyatt Johnston and Tyler Seguin are also options for the top line. Hintz will look to get back over the 70-point mark after he was limited to 30 goals and 35 assists in 80 regular-season contests last year.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Returns with two helpers
Hintz logged two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-3 win over the Oilers in Game 3.
Hintz set up the first two goals of Jason Robertson's hat trick. This was Hintz's return from a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury, and he looked much like his usual self in 17:48 of ice time in a top-line role. The center is up to two goals, six helpers, 15 shots on net, 16 hits and a plus-1 rating over 12 playoff appearances. Hintz should see significant ice time for the Stars moving forward, so he'll be a solid option in DFS formats.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Not playing Saturday
Hintz (upper body) did not take the ice for warmups and won't play in Saturday's Game 2 versus the Oilers, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Hintz's absence will reach a fourth game, but it's encouraging that he's progressed into the range of being a game-time decision. With Hintz still out, Tyler Seguin will center Jason Robertson and Evgenii Dadonov for this contest. Hintz's next chance to play is Monday's Game 3 in Edmonton.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Could play Saturday
Hintz (upper body) may be available to face Edmonton in Game 2 on Saturday after coach Pete DeBoer told reporters Hintz was "skating and possible for tomorrow" Friday, Brian Rea of Bally Sports Southwest reports.
Hintz has already missed the team's last three games due to his upper-body issue but appears to be nearing a return to action. Prior to getting hurt, the 27-year-old center had tallied two goals on 13 shots and four assists in his previous 11 postseason contests. Once cleared to play, Hintz figures to slot back into a first-line role in addition to linking up with the No. 1 power-play unit.
