  • Red Wings' Emmitt Finnie: Tallies in Saturday's win

Finnie scored a goal, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Blackhawks. Finnie snapped a three-game slump with his second-period tally. The 20-year-old has been back on the top line in recent weeks, which has helped to steady his offense after he slumped with a move to the bottom six. For the season, he's produced seven goals, 15 points, 59 shots on net, 59 hits, 23 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating in 33 appearances.

  • Red Wings' Emmitt Finnie: Strikes for power-play goal

Finnie scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM and went minus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kraken. Finnie ended an eight-game goal drought with his marker in the first period. The 20-year-old slumped over the first half of November as well, but this time, he still managed four helpers even as he struggled to light the lamp. The rookie winger is up to six goals, 14 points (five on the power play), 50 shots on net, 56 hits, 19 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 29 appearances.

  • Red Wings' Emmitt Finnie: Ends drought Tuesday

Finnie scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Kraken. Finnie's surprisingly strong start to the season faded just as fast with a 10-game point drought. He snapped that slump with his second-period tally, which stood as the game-winner in this contest. Overall, the 20-year-old winger has five goals, nine points, 29 shots on net, 37 hits and 13 blocked shots over 20 appearances. The 2023 seventh-round pick has already defied expectations by reaching the NHL so quickly, but there will be ups and downs throughout the year.

  • Red Wings' Emmitt Finnie: Gets choice assignment in debut

Finnie saw time on the first line in his NHL debut, but Detroit struggled en route to a 5-1 loss to Montreal on Thursday. Most of Finnie's shifts were shared with Lucas Raymond and Dylan Larkin, but the reality is more mixed than that might sound. Finnie logged just 12:22 of ice time despite his first-line role, and he wasn't used at all with the man advantage. Finnie finished the game with no points, one shot and one hit. The 20-year-old slipped to the No. 201 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, but he's risen up the ranks quickly. He took a major step forward in 2024-25 by scoring 37 goals and 84 points across 55 regular-season outings with WHL Kamloops and followed that up with another five points in 13 regular-season and playoff appearances with AHL Grand Rapids.
