Capitals' Bogdan Trineyev: Three-point effort for Hershey
Rotowire
Trineyev scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Hershey's 5-4 loss to Providence on Sunday.
Trineyev had hit a rough patch recently, picking up just two assists over his previous 10 games before Sunday's breakout. The 24-year-old forward is now at 11 goals, 28 points and 96 shots on net over 47 appearances. Trineyev's production is a career high in his third AHL campaign, but he hasn't done enough to be a consistent call-up option to the NHL.

Capitals' Bogdan Trineyev: Recalled Saturday
Rotowire
Trineyev was called up from AHL Hershey on Saturday.
Trineyev has nine goals and 21 points in 32 outings with Hershey in 2025-26. He also has no points, one shot, one hit and two blocks in two outings with Washington this season. Connor McMichael (upper body) and Pierre-Luc Dubois (abdomen) are both on injured reserve, so Trineyev gives the Capitals a 13th healthy forward on the active roster.
Trineyev has been recalled from AHL Hershey by the Capitals, the team announced Sunday.
Trineyev was last sent back to the AHL on the same day he was called up Dec. 3, and now he's back up with the NHL club again. With Ryan Leonard (upper body) having been placed on injured reserve, the 23-year-old Trineyev has been selected to fill his roster spot. Trineyev has yet to make his NHL debut yet, and he'll likely just serve as forward depth unless another injury occurs up front for the Capitals.

Capitals' Bogdan Trineyev: Goal, assist Friday
Rotowire
Trineyev scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in AHL Hershey's 3-2 overtime win over Springfield.
Trineyev is off to a fine start in his third full AHL campaign, logging six points over eight appearances so far. The 23-year-old winger had point totals of 22 and 16 over the previous two regular seasons, but he's poised to take a significant step up in 2025-26. However, he's not among the top prospects for the Capitals to call upon if they need to make a move for forward depth at the NHL level.
