  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Posts trio of points Thursday

Svechnikov scored two goals on four shots, recorded an assist, served two PIM and dished out two hits in Thursday's 5-4 win over Utah. Svechnikov tallied an unassisted goal early in the first period before later picking up a power-play helper late in the second. With nearly all hope lost of pulling off a comeback victory, his power-play twine finder sparked a three-goal outbreak to help Carolina steal the win with less than two minutes remaining in the contest. Overall, the 25-year-old winger is up to 20 goals, 26 assists, 145 shots on net and 92 hits across 53 games this season. The budding star has completely bounced back after last year and sits just two points shy of matching the 48 he posted in 72 regular-season games in 2024-25. He is above the necessary pace to reach 70 points for the first time in his career while maintaining strong category coverage, which places him in a fantasy territory he hasn't sniffed since his career-best year during the 2021-22 campaign.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Strikes on power play

Svechnikov scored a power-play goal on two shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Senators. Svechnikov has six goals and two assists over his last five games. He's earned four of those eight points on the power play. The 25-year-old winger still runs streaky at times, but he's been more good than bad lately. Overall, Svechnikov has 18 goals, 43 points, 141 shots on net, 90 hits, 38 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 52 appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Flirting with career production

Svechnikov had a goal and a power-play assist in a 2-1 win over Buffalo on Monday. He also had four hits and six PIM. Svechnikov has seven points (five goals, two assists) on a three-game point streak. He scored a hat trick Saturday against the Devils. Svechnikov is on a 69-point pace, which would equal his career mark (2021-22), but strip away his 0-for-eight games to start the season, and the winger has been delivering at a point-per-game pace ever since. Svechnikov has 138 shots, 14 power-play points, 87 hits and 38 PIM in 50 games this season.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Two-point effort in rout

Svechnikov produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 9-1 win over the Panthers. Both points came on the Hurricanes' first two goals of the third period, as they broke open a 3-1 game. Svechnikov has been running hot and cold in January, delivering three multi-point performances in nine games but getting held off the scoresheet completely in five others. On the season, the 25-year-old winger has contributed 13 goals and 37 points in 48 contests, including five goals and 13 points with the man advantage.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Puts on playmaking clinic

Svechnikov tallied four assists, including one on a power play, placed two shots on net and dished out four hits in Tuesday's 6-3 win over Dallas. Svechnikov's offensive hot streak continued Tuesday as he distributed an assist on two-thirds of the team's six goals. He assisted both of K'Andre Miller's tallies as well as the power-play goals scored by Shayne Gostisbehere and Seth Jarvis. Overall, the 25-year-old Svechnikov is up to 23 assists, 35 points, 121 shots on net and 72 hits through 43 games this season. Since Dec. 17, he has 17 points in 11 outings, tying him with linemate Sebastian Aho for the third-most points across the league in that span. Svechnikov is well on his way to a bounce-back campaign in most significant stat categories while skating in a major role on Carolina's top line. The third 60-plus point season of his eight-year NHL career could be in play at his current pace.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Finds twine in loss

Svechnikov scored a goal on four shots, added two PIM and logged two hits in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche. Svechnikov has scored in five of the last seven games, and he has 13 points over his last nine outings. The winger had the goal to put the Hurricanes up 3-1 in the second period, though the lead wouldn't last. He's now at 12 goals, 31 points, 117 shots, 68 hits, 30 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 41 appearances. Svechnikov is currently on the top line with a sizzling Sebastian Aho, which should give the former a chance to keep his own hot stretch rolling.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Collects three points in loss

Svechnikov scored a goal on five shots and added two assists in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Canadiens. The Hurricanes' new-look top line of Svechnikov, Sebastian Aho and Nikolaj Ehlers carried the offense, though the lack of support scoring cost the team in the end. Over the last eight games, Svechnikov has four goals and eight assists, making it one of his best stretches of the season. The winger is up to 11 goals, 30 points, 113 shots on net, 66 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 40 appearances this season. He hasn't reached the 60-point mark since 2021-22, but he's on pace to do so this year if he can avoid injuries.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Five-game, nine-point streak

Svechnikov scored a goal and added two assists in a 5-2 win over the Red Wings on Saturday. Svechnikov was forechecking and picked the pocket of Dylan Larkin, which let the sniper break in alone on John Gibson and snap a shot high blocker. The points extended Svechnikov's scoring streak to five games and nine points (three goals, six assists; 14 shots). Svechnikov is also on a three-game goal streak, but he also picked up another minor penalty, this time for roughing. That gives him 12 PIM in his last 10 games. Discipline is the name of the game in Carolina, but he's really put up some solid offense while playing with an edge.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Scores in Tuesday's loss

Svechnikov scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and doled out four hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers. Svechnikov has two goals and eight helpers over his last nine games, but he's added 10 PIM in that span. If the penalty problems persist, he could slip down the lineup -- he was already bumped off the top line as the Hurricanes try to navigate a stretch without Seth Jarvis (upper body). Svechnikov has nine goals, 24 points, 99 shots on net, 61 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 36 outings overall.

Svechnikov scored a goal Saturday in a 6-4 loss to Tampa Bay. Svechnikov pushed the score to 4-3 for Carolina early in the third period on a 2-on-1 where he lifted a shot over Andrei Vasilevskiy's left pad. Svechnikov logged two assists, two shots on goal, two PIM and seven hits in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Panthers. Svechnikov set up both of Sebastian Aho's goals in the contest. This was Svechnikov's second two-assist game in a row, and he has eight helpers over his last seven outings. For the season, the power winger is up to 22 points (eight on the power play) with 94 shots on net, 55 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 34 appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Contributes two assists in win

Svechnikov notched two assists, including one on the power play, added three shots on net and doled out two hits in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators. Svechnikov has six helpers over his last six games after assisting on both of Sebastian Aho's goals in this contest. The 25-year-old Svechnikov is stuck in a 12-game goal drought, but he's put up eight helpers and 32 shots on net in that span, so he's still doing the right things. The winger is up to 20 points (seven on the power play), 92 shots, 48 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-2 rating across 33 outings this season.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Provides pair of helpers

Svechnikov notched two assists, two shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets. Svechnikov has amassed five helpers over eight games since he last scored a goal against Winnipeg on Nov. 21. The 25-year-old winger has returned to being a bit streaky after piecing it all together in November. However, fantasy managers should still have room for his all-around contributions. He's up to 17 points (six on the power play), 84 shots on net, 39 hits, 16 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 29 appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Dishes two assists

Svechnikov notched two assists, two shots on goal, two PIM, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 5-1 win over the Jets. Svechnikov helped out on the last two goals of Seth Jarvis' hat trick, which came in the third period as the Hurricanes pulled away late. This was Svechnikov's first multi-point effort since Nov. 14 versus the Canucks -- he was limited to a goal and an assist over his last six outings. The winger is at seven goals, seven helpers, 71 shots on net, 30 hits, 12 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 24 appearances. He continues to fill a top-six role, but Svechnikov's offense can run streaky.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Scores game-winner on power play

Svechnikov scored a power-play goal on five shots in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets. He gave the Hurricanes a 4-2 lead in the third period, and that insurance tally proved vital when Gabriel Vilardi answered just under a minute later. Svechnikov has scored five goals and added four assists over his last nine contests, which has helped him move past his slow start to the season. Overall, he's at seven goals, 12 points (four on the power play), 60 shots on net, 23 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 21 outings.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Three-point effort in overtime win

Svechnikov scored twice (one with the man advantage), added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks. Svechnikov had a great offensive game, but his unpenalized high elbow on Filip Hronek late in the contest could be reviewed by the league for supplemental discipline. Prior to that bone-headed play, Svechnikov was involved in all three of the Hurricanes' goals in regulation time. The 25-year-old winger is up to six goals, including three on the power play, while adding four assists, 46 shots on net, 18 hits, six PIM and a plus-3 rating over 17 appearances this year. All of that offense has come since Oct. 28, as he opened the year in an eight-game skid.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Scores in second straight

Svechnikov recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Sabres. The 25-year-old forward gave the Hurricanes a 2-1 lead with a power-play tally at the 4:34 mark of the second period, and he also set up Carolina's first goal, courtesy of Sebastian Aho, in the opening frame. Svechnikov is known for his scoring more than anything else, and he's posted solid numbers in that regard. He's found the back of the net in four of his last six games, tallying four goals, two assists, 18 shots, six hits, two blocked shots and a plus-5 rating in that stretch.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Sniper's goal in win

Svechnikov scored a goal Thursday in a 4-3 win over the Wild. Svechnikov took a pass from Alexander Nikishin in the neutral zone, skated to the left circle and ripped a shot between the legs of the Minnesota defender for a short-side snipe. The talented winger has struggled to find his offensive groove this season. The goal was Svechnikov's third (four points) in 13 contests this season. He's too good for this to go on much longer, and you cannot drop him. Bench him until he lights a fire under his game.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Scoring pace quickening

Svechnikov scored a goal and added an assist Thursday in a 6-2 win over the Islanders. Fantasy managers are breathing a sigh of relief. Svechnikov has three points (two goals, one assist) in his last two games after being held scoreless for eight games to start the season. His ice time has dropped from last season (14:51 compared to 17:07), but that's not a significant cause for concern. Carolina is deep, and Svechnikov will bounce back from this and from last season's 48 points in 72 games.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Ends goal drought Tuesday

Svechnikov scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights. The 25-year-old winger opened the scoring early in the first period by ripping a one-timer from the high slot past Akira Schmid after a faceoff win by Sebastian Aho. It was Svechnikov's first goal and first point of the season in nine games. While it's reassuring that he's still on the top power-play unit for Carolina, he still has some work to do to regain the trust of fantasy managers after a disappointing 2024-25 regular season that saw him manage just 20 goals and 48 points in 72 contests.
