This was his first multi-point outing since Opening Night against the Jets. He's had limited postseason experience, picking up just one assist over 12 playoff outings in his career. Lundkvist had 11 points, 46 shots on net, 48 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating over 52 regular-season contests this year.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Bags assist in loss

Lundkvist logged an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Devils. Lundkvist hasn't been much of a factor offensively lately, earning three assists over 12 games in March. He has added a minus-1 rating, 14 shots on net and 10 blocked shots this month. Despite his lackluster production, he's been a fixture in the lineup while the Stars carry nine defensemen on the roster, including some that would be more suited to shutdown work. For the season, Lundkvist has 10 points, 43 shots on net, 41 blocks, 25 hits and a plus-9 rating across 44 contests.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Pots goal Monday

Lundkvist scored a goal in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets. Lundkvist's tally tied the game at 2-2 late in the second period. The 25-year-old was limited to two helpers, 17 shots on net, 10 hits and 11 blocked shots over 15 outings in January. For the season, he's put up three goals, four assists, 27 shots, 29 blocks, 21 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 29 appearances. He's filling a bottom-four role and is rarely involved in special teams, so Lundkvist has limited fantasy appeal.

Based on his timeline, Lundkvist won't be an option for the Stars' next two outings, but he certainly seems to be trending in the right direction. Lundkvist suffered a lower-body injury Thursday versus Vancouver, Brien Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports. The 25-year-old got off to a great start with a goal and two assists in his first two games of 2025-26, but he was held off the scoresheet in his last two appearances. Ilya Lyubushkin should enter the lineup if Lundkvist is unable to go.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Productive in season opener

Lundkvist had a goal, an assist, two shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Jets. Lundkvist made the most of his playing time Thursday and cracked the scoresheet twice, finding the twine in the latter stages of the first period and then setting up Wyatt Johnston's goal in the third frame. Lundkvist isn't expected to produce at this rate on a steady basis, though. He didn't score a single goal and had only five points in 39 regular-season showings in 2024-25, and his marker Thursday was just the 10th of his five-year NHL career.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Records assist in overtime win

Lundkvist notched an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Utah. Lundkvist ended a five-game slump when he helped out on Oskar Back's second-period tally. The 24-year-old Lundkvist continues to play a bottom-four role on the Stars' blue line, and he shouldn't be counted on for steady offense. This season, he's racked up four assists, 43 shots on net, 25 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 30 appearances, well behind the pace that saw him log a career-high 19 points in 59 outings in the 2023-24 regular season.
