Blackhawks' Pavel Gogolev: Put on unconditional waivers
Gogolev was placed on unconditional waivers by Chicago on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Gogolev was acquired by the Blackhawks from Toronto on Feb. 27 as part of a larger trade that involved sending Jake McCabe to the Maple Leafs. Gogolev has 21 goals and 48 points in 33 ECHL games this season. Chicago can terminate the 23-year-old's contract if he goes unclaimed on unconditional waivers.

Blackhawks' Pavel Gogolev: Included in four-player deal
Gogolev was part of a trade between the Blackhawks and Leafs on Monday that saw Joey Anderson, a 2025 first-round pick and a 2026 second-round pick headed to Chicago in exchange for Jake McCabe, Sam Lafferty and fifth-round picks in 2024 and 2025.
Gogolev has put up solid numbers playing in the ECHL this season with 21 goals and 27 assists in 33 games but hasn't been able to translate that into a promotion to the AHL level beyond just one game. With his new club, the 23-year-old Russian will no doubt be hoping to earn a place at least with AHL Rockford, and probably shouldn't be expected to make his NHL debut any time soon.

Maple Leafs' Pavel Gogolev: Signs entry-level deal
Gogolev agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with Toronto on Thursday.
Gogolev -- who was undrafted coming out of the OHL -- started the 2020-21 campaign playing in Sweden before moving to AHL Toronto. With the Marlies, the 21-year-old Russian garnered 12 points in 13 contests and will likely spend much of the upcoming season this year in the minors furthering his development.
