Eyssimont notched an assist and two PIM in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Capitals.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Activated off non-roster list
Eyssimont (lower body) was taken off the injured non-roster list ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Vancouver, per the NHL media site.
Eyssimont has been working in a third-line role and will likely slot into that spot for Tuesday's tilt. In 81 regular-season outings last year, the 28-year-old Colorado native set new personal bests with 11 goals, 14 assists and 149 shots and could improve upon those numbers in 2024-25 if continues to be a full-time contributor.

Coach Jon Cooper said Sunday that Eyssimont (lower body) could be ready for the start of the season, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Could be ahead of schedule
Eyssimont (lower body) is wearing a regular jersey at practice Friday, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports.
Eyssimont has been dealing with the injury since the start of training camp, and it was assumed that he would not be ready for Opening Night on Oct. 11 versus Carolina. With the start of the season still a week away, Eyssimont looks to be on track to start the season in the lineup, barring any setbacks. Eyssimont is expected to play on the third line, alongside Nick Paul and Conor Sheary, as well as seeing second power-play action.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Targeting mid-October return
Eyssimont (lower-body) is not expected to return to action until mid-October, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports Wednesday.
At a minimum, Eyssimont shouldn't be expected to suit up for Opening Night against Carolina on Oct. 11, though he could miss closer to 4-5 games depending on his recovery. Without Eyssimont in the lineup, either Mitchell Chaffee or Zemgus Girgensons could start the season on the third line in addition to taking Eyssimont's spot with the No. 2 power-play unit.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Hampered by lower-body injury
Eyssimont is dealing with a lower-body injury that will limit him at the start of training camp, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports Wednesday.
Eyssimont is coming off a career year in 2023-24 during which he played in a career-best 81 games while also registering personal bests in goals (11), assists (14) and shots (149). The 28-year-old Colorado native should be in the mix for power-play minutes with the No. 2 group this season -- assuming his lower-body injury doesn't sideline him for too long.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Two points in win
Eyssimont had a goal and an assist Thursday in a 7-4 victory over the Canadiens. He also picked up four PIM.
His goal was pure determination and the epitome of never giving up. Eyssimont pushed the game to 2-1 in the first period when he drove the net and jammed the puck off Cayden Primeau's stick and up and over the netminder. And Eyssimont's PIM came in the third when he mistakenly thought Arber Xhekaj was the cause of Brandon Hagel's injury and chased him down to throw fists. But Xhekaj was an innocent bystander, as Steven Stamkos had actually slammed into an unsuspecting Hagel. It's a great demonstration of why Eyssimont is a fabulous teammate -- he stands up for his guys, and he came within a referee's discretion of a Gordie Howe hat trick Thursday. The goal was his 11th of the season.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Gets rare goal in loss
Eyssimont scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 loss to Calgary.
Eyssimont isn't known for his offense -- it was his first goal in 16 games. But he does deliver some meathead stats like 95 hits and 86 PIM to go along with 120 shots. Eyissimont doesn't deliver much fantasy value, but he'll continue to make an impact on the ice for the Lightning.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Has earned coach's trust
Eyssimont has one assist, 15 shots and 10 hits in his last eight games.
Eyssimont may not deliver fantasy points, but he's earned the trust of his coach. At age 27, Eyssimont is tracking toward his first full season in the NHL, and he's two points from tying his career mark of 15 points, which he set last season in stops in three cities (San Jose, Winnipeg and Tampa Bay). Lightning forward could hit 25 points and 100 hits this season, but there's little fantasy value in this bottom-six workhorse.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Grabs helper Thursday
Eyssimont earned an assist against Edmonton on Thursday.
Eyssimont remains mired in an 18-game goal drought during which he has garnered 41 shots, five assists and 20 hits while averaging 12:33 of ice time. As long as the 27-year-old center continues to register over two shots per game, he should eventually find the back of the net and break out of his slump.

Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Surprise highlight-reel goal
Eyssimont scored a goal Saturday in a 6-4 win over the Senators.
It was a highlight-reel snipe. Eyssimont split the Sens' D on a rush and roofed a backhand as he fell to the ice. "I don't know if tenacity has ever been a problem with him, to be honest," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said of Eyssimont. "That's kind of what he brings every single night. ... He never stops on plays, and he didn't stop on that one and he was rewarded." Eyssimont has three goals and one assist in 11 games, so his fantasy value is still nominal.

It made the game 2-1 early in the second period. Eyissimont had been out since Game 1 after a hard hit by Jake McCabe. He skated 12:20 and had two shots and one hit.
