  • Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Finishes week strong

Ryabkin scored a goal and added two assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 3-2 overtime win over Quebec on Sunday. Ryabkin was held off the scoresheet Saturday to end an eight-game point streak, but he bounced right back. The Hurricanes prospect has already earned 15 points over five games in March and is up to 12 goals and 37 points through 17 contests in the QMJHL this season.

  • Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Keeps rolling with four points

Ryabkin scored twice and added two assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 5-3 win over Baie-Comeau on Friday. Ryabkin has four points in each of his three outings in March, while also going plus-8 with 16 PIM. The 18-year-old forward's toughness is a positive sign, especially given his scoring talent that's clearly on display. He's now at 11 goals, 34 points and 32 PIM through 15 outings with Charlottetown.

  • Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Four more points in QMJHL win

Ryabkin scored a goal and added three assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 7-3 win over Rimouski on Wednesday. Ryabkin has eight points over two games to start March. He's logged at least 11 points in each of his months since joining Charlottetown, and he's well on his way to doing even better to close out the regular season. The 18-year-old forward has 30 points in 14 appearances in total, and it's clear he's a little too good for this level of hockey. Don't be surprised if he gets another look with AHL Chicago to begin 2026-27.

  • Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Logs three points in QMJHL win

Ryabkin scored a goal and added two assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 6-5 shootout win over Moncton on Friday. Ryabkin has earned nine points over his last three outings. For the season, he's up to six goals and 14 helpers in just 10 QMJHL appearances since he was reassigned from AHL Chicago. Getting some pro-level experience wasn't a bad thing, but the 18-year-old should be brimming with confidence given how he's dominated since his return to the junior ranks.

Ryabkin scored a goal and added four assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 6-3 win over Halifax on Saturday. Ryabkin was playing in just his second game since being reassigned to Charlottetown from AHL Chicago. The Russian forward has already made a good impression. He had seven points in 25 outings with Chicago, but he should greatly benefit in production after moving down a level.

  • Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Departs Monday's game

Ryabkin sustained an apparent lower-body injury in Monday's preseason game against the Panthers and did not return, according to Walt Ruff and Peter Dewar of the Hurricanes' official site. There was no update on Ryabkin's status postgame. The Hurricanes close out their preseason schedule Saturday in Nashville, so more information on Ryabkin's health should be known by then. The 18-year-old was a second-round selection (No. 62 overall) in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

  • Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Secures ELC

Ryabkin agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with Carolina on Wednesday. Ryabkin, who was selected by the Canes with the 62nd overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, should still be considered a longshot to make the Opening Night roster despite inking his entry-level deal. The 18-year-old center made the jump to North America last year, racking up 19 goals and 11 helpers in 27 games for USHL Muskegon. It's possible Ryabkin gets a cup of coffee with the Hurricanes to start the year before heading back to juniors, but he figures to primarily be a target in dynasty or keeper formats for now.
