  • Nets' Drake Powell: Coming off bench Thursday

Powell is not in the Nets' starting lineup against the Nuggets on Thursday, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.

The rookie first-rounder has started in each of his last eight outings, though he played just eight minutes during the Nets' 106-102 loss to the Suns on Tuesday. The Nets will roll with a starting lineup of Nolan Traore, Terance Mann, Michael Porter, Danny Wolf and Nic Claxton for Thursday's contest.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Goes invisible in loss

Powell had no counting stats over eight minutes during Tuesday's 106-102 loss to the Suns.

Ziaire Williams and Cam Thomas ended up playing the lion's share of the minutes at shooting guard Tuesday. Powell appears to have a tenuous hold on the starting role that he's had for the past eight games, during which the rookie first-rounder has averaged 7.1 points, 1.8 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 22.1 minutes per contest.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Gets starting nod again

Powell had 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound and three assists across 25 minutes during Monday's 126-117 loss to the Suns.

Powell started for a fourth straight appearance, ending with another serviceable line. Brooklyn has so many young pieces to choose from at the moment, knowing who is going to step up on any given night is anyone's guess. Even as a starter, Powell has fallen well short of the mark when it comes to standard league value, averaging just 10.0 points and 2.0 three-pointers in 24.5 minutes per tilt over the past three games.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Absent from injury report

Powell (knee) is off the injury report for Monday's game against the Suns.

After missing Sunday's loss in Chicago for knee injury management, Powell is set to return to the lineup Monday. The rookie first-rounder has logged at least 24 minutes in three consecutive games (all starts), and Powell could see a rise in usage in the backcourt due to the absence of Cam Thomas (hamstring).

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Picks up knee injury

Powell won't play in Sunday's game against Chicago due to left knee injury management, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

Powell was held to three points in 24 minutes Friday against the Bulls, and he'll now take a seat for Brooklyn's upcoming clash. He figures to have a decent chance to play Monday against Phoenix.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Season-high 16 points Wednesday

Powell notched 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Pelicans.

Making his third career start, Powell scored a season-high 16 points Wednesday. The rookie first-rounder has averaged 7.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 21.0 minutes per contest through seven games this month, so Powell appears to still have some work to do before commanding more fantasy attention.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Starting Monday

Powell will start against Dallas on Monday.

The 20-year-old swingman will get the starting nod for just the second time this season due to Egor Demin (foot) being sidelined. Powell has appeared in five games (one start) so far this month, during which he has averaged 5.8 points across 19.8 minutes per contest.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Cleared to play

Powell (knee) will be available for Monday's game against Dallas.

Powell is back off the injury report after getting some maintenance Sunday against the Grizzlies. The rookie is averaging 16.6 minutes per contest over his last two appearances.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Won't go Sunday

Powell has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies due to left knee injury management.

Powell will miss the front end of a back-to-back set, but he could be back in action Monday against Dallas. With the rookie first-round pick being joined on the sideline by Michael Porter (rest) and Ziaire Williams (illness), the Nets could open up room in the rotation for Jalen Wilson and Tyrese Martin.

Powell is not in the Nets' starting lineup against the Wizards on Friday.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Making first NBA start Thursday

Powell is in the Nets' starting lineup against the Rockets on Thursday, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.

The rookie first-rounder will make his first NBA start Thursday due to the absences of Egor Demin (back), Michael Porter (illness) and Terance Mann (hip). Powell is averaging 5.9 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.7 steals over 17.7 minutes per game this season.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Available to play Saturday

Powell (ankle) is no longer on the injury report and will be available for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Powell is set to return from a two-game absence. This doesn't mean he'll have a lot of fantasy upside, though. The first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft has yet to start a game in 2025-26 and is averaging a mere 6.0 points and 1.8 rebounds on 17.7 minutes per contest across 19 regular-season appearances.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Out with ankle sprain

Powell (ankle) is out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.

Powell will be sidelined for a second straight game with a sprained right ankle. The rookie forward's next chance to play comes Saturday in Minnesota. Powell's vacated minutes should be divvied up among Danny Wolf and Ziaire Williams.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Sitting out Sunday

Powell (ankle) won't play in Sunday's game against Toronto.

Powell sprained his right ankle in Thursdsay's game against the Heat -- the same ankle he sprained in the first game of the season -- and he'll be sidelined for Sunday's contest. The rookie is averaging 6.0 points, 1.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds across 17.7 minutes per game. His next chance to play will come Tuesday at Philadelphia. While he's out, Jalen Wilson and Tyrese Martin could see an uptick in minutes.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Won't return Thursday

Powell will not return to Thursday's game versus the Heat due to a right ankle sprain, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Powell initially sprained his right ankle in Brooklyn's season-opening loss to Charlotte, which forced him to spend six games on the sidelines. The severity of Powell's new ankle sprain isn't clear, but it wouldn't be shocking to see him miss Sunday's matchup with the Raptors. While Powell is out, there should be more minutes available for Jalen Wilson.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Headed to locker room

Powell went back to the locker room during Thursday's game with an apparent right ankle injury, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.

Powell seemed to tweak the same right ankle that has given him so much trouble this season, and he was sporting a serious limp as he was helped back to the locker room. For now, Powell should be considered questionable to return.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Returns to parent club

The Nets recalled Powell from the G League's Long Island Nets on Thursday, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Following this past Saturday's win over the Pelicans, the Nets had a six-day break in their schedule, so the rookie first-round pick was sent to the G League so that he could continue to see meaningful reps. Powell played in both ends of Long Island's Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back set versus the College Park Skyhawks and Westchester Knicks, respectively, averaging 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals in 28.7 minutes between those contests. Now that he's back with the parent club, Powell should settle back into the Brooklyn rotation during Friday's game at Dallas.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Assigned to G League

Brooklyn assigned Powell to the G League's Long Island Nets on Monday.

Brooklyn is off until Dec. 12, so this move will allow the rookie to get some reps in the G League to stay sharp.

  • Nets' Drake Powell: Off injury report

Powell (knee) isn't part of the Nets' injury report for Saturday's game against the Pelicans, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Powell sat out the Nets' most recent game -- the tail end of a back-to-back -- but he'll be a full go for Saturday's contest. In his last 13 games, Powell is averaging 7.2 points, 2.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds across 21.2 minutes.
