  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Questionable after another missed practice

Pollard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts after not practicing this week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Fortunately for those who would normally consider Pollard in fantasy lineups, the Titans kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, a scenario that would in most cases allow fantasy managers to turn to Week 16 pivot options if he's sidelined. If Pollard ends up limited or out versus Indianapolis, Tyjae Spears would be in line to see an expanded backfield role for Tennessee this weekend.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Misses practice Thursday

Pollard (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Pollard hasn't practiced much in recent weeks while managing foot and/or ankle injuries, but he's played in every game this season and finished with no fewer than 29 snaps or nine touches in any contest. There's some extra concern this week, however, as he aggravated his ankle during Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals and may thus be dealing with more discomfort relative to previous weeks. He returned to the game in short order but then took a back seat to Tyjae Spears in the fourth quarter when the Titans were chasing a multi-score deficit. In any case, a return to practice Friday presumably would put Pollard on track to play Sunday against Indianapolis.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Held out of practice

Pollard (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Pollard has played through foot and/or ankle injuries for the better part of two months, including last week when he was listed as questionable and then briefly left a 37-27 loss to the Bengals in the first half after aggravating his ankle. He returned to the game and took 10 more carries for 18 yards to finish with a 17-45-1 rushing line, but Tyjae Spears then dominated the playing time and touches in the fourth quarter with Tennessee trailing by multiple scores. Pollard is at some risk of either missing Sunday's game against the Colts or handling a lesser role than what he's been tasked with for most of the season.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Inconsistent showing against Cincy

Pollard rushed the ball 17 times for 45 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals. He was not targeted in the passing game.

Pollard got off to a strong start, as he accounted for 22 yards and a touchdown on the Titans' opening possession. Things got rocky from there, however. In addition to briefly leaving the game due to ankle injury, Pollard also lost a fumble that should have been returned for a touchdown before Jordan Battle fumbled out of the end zone. Positively, Pollard remains the clear lead back and has shown the ability to excel on the ground despite the poor state of the Tennessee offense.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Returns to Sunday's game

Pollard (ankle) returned to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Pollard was managing an ankle issue ahead of Week 15 action, so it's possible that he aggravated the injury. However, he's back in the Titans' backfield mix after having previously exited Sunday's contest.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Hurts ankle Sunday

Pollard was forced out of Sunday's game against the Bengals with an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Prior to his exit from the contest, Pollard carried seven times for 27 yards and a TD. In his absence, Tyjae Spears is next in line to handle the Titans' Week 15 carries.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Ready to face Cincinnati

Pollard (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Pollard was officially listed as questionable for the matchup after his only practice participation was a limited session Friday. However, he'll suit up and presumably lead the Tennessee backfield in a matchup against a Cincinnati defensive line that has struggled in the absence of Sheldon Rankins (illness). Meanwhile, Pollard has topped 100 yards from scrimmage in three of the Titans' last six games.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Likely to suit up Sunday

Pollard, who is questionable for Sunday's matchup versus Cincinnati due to an ankle injury, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Pollard entered the weekend deemed questionable after missing the Titans' first two practices of the week before upgrading to limited participation Friday. The veteran running back looks like he'll be able to play through the ankle injury and avoid missing his first game of the season, though official word on his status won't arrive until Tennessee posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Pollard needs 63 rushing yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark on the ground for the third consecutive campaign.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Not spotted early on in practice

Pollard (ankle) wasn't present during the open portion of Friday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Pollard didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so his absence from the initial stage of Friday's session is noteworthy. The Titans' upcoming injury report will reveal his designation for Sunday's game against the Bengals, but if Pollard is limited or out this weekend, Tyjae Spears would be in line for added touches in Week 15.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Status in question for Week 15

Pollard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Bengals, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Pollard wasn't able to practice Wednesday or Thursday due to an ankle injury, and while he wasn't spotted at the media-access portion of Friday's session, he ended up going down as a limited participant to end Week 15 prep. Coach Brian Callahan told Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com earlier Friday that Pollard should be able to suit up Sunday, but such a decision won't become known until about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Absent for another practice

Pollard (ankle) isn't practicing Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Pollard has now sat out both of the Titans' first two Week 15 practices, making his activity (or lack thereof) in Friday's session important with respect to determining his status for Sunday's game against the Bengals. The 27-year-old has suited up in all 13 of the Titans' contest to date, but if Pollard is forced to miss his first game of the season Sunday, Tyjae Spears would likely have a path to double-digit touches out of the backfield.

  • Titans' Tony Pollard: Bothered by ankle

Pollard missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

The Titans listed him with a foot injury at the end of October and for much of November, but Pollard hasn't missed a game this season and didn't show any obvious signs of being hurt during a 10-6 loss to the Jaguars this past Sunday. An absence for the Titans' upcoming game against Cincinnati on Sunday would leave Tyjae Spears as the likely lead back for Tennessee, although Julius Chestnut might get some carries between the tackles and in short-yardage situations.
