Lions' Terrion Arnold: Needs season-ending surgery
The Lions placed Arnold on injured reserve Monday, and the cornerback is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder later this week, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Arnold was previously sidelined for Weeks 11 and 12 due to a concussion, but he made his return to action in the Lions' 34-27 loss to the Packers on Thanksgiving Day. He recorded four solo tackles in the contest, but at some point along the way, he suffered an aggravation of the same shoulder injury that kept him out for Weeks 6 and 7. The Lions will send the 22-year-old in for surgery with the hope that it provides a more permanent fix for the recurring shoulder problem. He'll close out the 2025 campaign with 31 tackles, eight pass breakups and one interception over eight games.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Shares snaps in first game back
Arnold recorded four solo tackles in Thursday's 31-24 loss the Packers.
The cornerback returned for the first time since Week 10 after working through a concussion and played 17 defensive snaps, while backup Rock Ya-Sin saw nine. D.J. Reed and Amik Robertson led Detroit's cornerback room in snaps for the game, with 54 and 59, respectively. Now that Arnold is back, though, he should continue to play a role, as he has eight pass breakups on the year.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Making return on Thanksgiving
Arnold (concussion) is active for Thursday's Week 13 tilt against the Packers.
Arnold suffered a concussion in Week 10 against Washington and missed Detroit's subsequent two games. The second-year cornerback has since cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and will return to action Thursday. Arnold should return to his starting slot, thus sending Rock Ya-Sin back into a rotational role.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Chance to return Week 13
Arnold (concussion) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Packers.
Arnold was estimated as a limited practice participant during the Lions' shortened week while in the league's concussion protocol. He has been sidelined for Detroit's last two games, and he will be allowed to play Thursday only if an independent neurologist clears him from the league's protocol. Rock Ya-Sin would remain as the starting outside cornerback opposite D.J. Reed if Arnold is not cleared to play.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Estimated as limited Monday
Arnold (concussion) was listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report.
Arnold has missed back-to-back games after he was concussed in Week 10, and he apparently remains in the league's protocol after logging a trio of DNPs last week ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. With a quick turnaround ahead of Thursday afternoon's Week 13 date with the Packers, Arnold could be in danger of missing a third consecutive contest.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Ruled out for Week 12
Arnold (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Arnold was unable to practice all week after suffering a concussion in Week 10, and he'll miss his second straight contest. With Arnold sidelined last Sunday night, Amik Robertson and Rock Ya-Sin handled the vast majority of cornerback snaps for Detroit.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Sits out practice again Thursday
Arnold (concussion) didn't practice Thursday.
Arnold suffered a concussion Week 10 against Washington and didn't play this past Sunday against Philadelphia. He's missed the first two practices this week, so there's reason to be pessimistic about his chance of suiting up Sunday against the Giants. Rock Ya-Sin started at cornerback in Arnold's stead against the Eagles and will likely do so again Week 12 if Arnold remains out.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Opens week with DNP
Arnold (concussion) was listed as a DNP on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Arnold is in the league's concussion protocol, which prevented him from playing in the Lions' Week 11 loss to the Eagles. A return to practice would indicate that he is progressing through protocol, though he would need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play Sunday against the Giants.

Lions' Terrion Arnold: Won't play against Philadelphia
Arnold (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Arnold entered the league's concussion protocol during the Lions' Week 10 win over the Commanders, which caused him to miss all three practices during Week 11 prep. A return to practice would indicate that he's progressing through the league's protocol, though he would have to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play against the Giants in Week 12. Rock Ya-Sin will likely start at outside corner Sunday in Arnold's absence, and Nick Whiteside and Avonte Maddox could also work with the Lions' first-team defense if Amik Robertson (hamstring) is also ruled out.
